We went up Ice House to the wentworth springs Rubicon entrance via the side trail by airport flat and found some decent pockets of snow yesterday.
The El Dorado Jeepherders are doing a toy drive run on the 10th from Georgetown to UTC. We may be going on that one too, probably will be less of a shitshow than the Yellow Snow Run we do with ECV #86 in February.
Went up today…awesome! Snow started coming down south of town (went up 49) around 9. Pretty much snowed all day. Was sugar snow, busting the drifts was cool. Not a lot of traffic, there was a path, but nobody had been on it since the day before. Easy to get to UTC, we want a few miles past then played and turned around, was around 5,600’.
on the way home on 50, there was snow in the median by Bass Lake road exit. just enough to cover the ground.
In the below pic, it looks to be about half of the 37, but stepping out of the truck i was dragging nuts through the snow.
If little snow at Stumpy there’s a big parking area on the other side of the dam. Gtown is kinda tight but just past the ball field on the Left right before the Veterans Memorial Park? there’s a big dirt area back past there, and a mini storage.
We got to about 2/3 miles from Wrights lake road, we pushed snow up to the hood for a mile then turned around to hit some side trials at lower elv. Good day

Went up yesterday with one other rig. The snow is pretty tracked out. Made it from Stumpy to UTC in 10-15 min. We started to pull in the front entrance and it was a shit show. Stock trucks stuck everywhere in the middle of the road / barley off to the side. At that point people started sledding and hanging out right in the way. We turned around and came in from the back side. Passed a couple people coming in the back but not nearly as many as the front. Once we got inside and started talking to people we heard of some more bullshit. Apparently someone got stuck on the way into UTC earlier in the week. They were stuck over night and broke into the main cabin and one of the smaller cabins and left a mess. I just wish people had more respect for other people property and weren’t assholes when you try to help someone out. 15-25 psi isn’t considered “aired down” 😂
Cruised up pretty late yesterday afternoon and went all the way through to Ice House. It was snowing pretty much the whole time and started to come down pretty hard on top of Hartless. Super windy and low visibility but the snow was the best I’ve been in all season. Ended up being a really good day
