I'll be watching all the live coverage and socialist media posts from the house in Tennessee.

I know several of the U4 teams that raced at Tennessee were looking forward to the Sturgis race and bike week of course.

My homies with Team 187 (the red full-size bronco 4680) will be there with Tyler (who’s codriven every race this year thus far) driving. Not sure who’s codawging for him. These guys came out to Hammers 2 years ago for the thrash fest to finish my Comanche in time to start KOH2020. They’ve yet to finish a race yet (completed 2 laps in KY) but they’re figuring out all the weak points and Sturgis should be a great place to let all those Ford Windsor ponies sing.

It will be a fast short course, dust will probably be an issue and heat. Some years it's blistering hot and other's it's not bad but thunderstorm and hail show up.

I'll be there working the track with the other Black Hills 4 Wheeler as we normally do.

Bummer is the Broadview was the superior racetrack but not many showed up for that one.

Broadview was epic. I'm so glad I was finally able to attend that one. Loved it.

Hopefully by next year, the racers from the Great White North can come down to race in Montana.
Heck, working hard to get them in for Sturgis and Crandon right now! But yeah, 2022 is going to be epic for a Northern neighbors / family.

I'm kinda late to the show, any where to stay that's not $300-400 per night? I wont be racing this time but would like to come watch since its not to far away. Totally forgot its the start of bike week though.

With bike week, you're probably SOL on that front. I'm planning on coming out and just driving over from WY on Fri/Sat to either watch or help out.

Just show up and volunteer for not-so-fun jobs with the race teams (repacking RCV's, beadlocks etc) and maybe they'll let you crash with them for the weekend.

Well see some of the top runners are going to be showing up. Hoping for some rain and wind otherwise it's gonna be a dust bowl.

Elvi will be there.

Unfortunately, Rennwagon will not.

(BUT the IRATE4X4 flag will be there!!!. Look for it, and stop by. I may have some swag left; Thanks to Austin!! )

Racing at the track with the YORR circuit Saturday is anyone wants to stop over early and check it out.

Any chance someone can grab me a shirt and a hoodie while they're there?
Can send money for the stuff and shipping via paypal, venmo, google wallet, ect

Really like the event shirts, but it looks like they're only going to sell them there.

edit: shirt, not shit lol

Yes man, I can grab you a hoodie. You are on your own with the shit lol.

Shoot me a PM with your sizes.

one week out... Traffic is already nuts with vendors and even bikes showing up, estimates are 1.7 million for the rally this year!

The traffic is as bad as it usually is the coming week before rally. Hopefully the fire smoke clears out some more.

Maybe some helpful tips for anyone driving in:

  • Watch for bikes everywhere. The don't drive smart and will hang out in your blind spot all day.
  • Speed limit gets knocked down from 80mph to 65 from just outside of the Rapid City to the east by the Air Base all the way to the Wyoming border. Watch your speed, there is some construction through Rapid and traffic will be a mess, it's also patrolled heavily.
  • Fort Meade Way is a bypass gravel road if your coming from the Rapid City side that bypasses going through Sturgis. It it a decent gravel road that dumps out right at the Buffalo Chip.
  • Check your routes if planning on going through Sturgis, some of the roads get closed for Rally. I'm not up there much during the event so not sure which or when.
  • Outside Beer/Booze is not allowed, this is enforced and people have been asked to leave before because of it. Can't say you will get caught but cooler have been inspected before.
  • I don't think pets are allowed at the Bufallo Chip

Thanks.

Love ultra 4, glad to roll up from Texas and volenteer/pit/spot for Team Trail Rig.

Not a fan of the 1% and their wanna be's. Meth and stupidity dont mix well.

The beer heads up is gold.

Thanks for the info and alternate road in

Lots of big names signed up for the 4400 class and the EMC classes are having a decent turnout.

Will be tuned into the Livestream from here in Tennessee.

There is beer and booze for sale on site, it's just a state law on how it's done. Have to buy it from the site.

And the biker are mostly just normal people out for a fun week, haven't seen much of the 1% type for a few years and it's been many years before I've had any run in with idiots. But there are alot of people that don't pay attention or are not very experienced.

If you are planning on riding a bike up here watch your curves and corners. We have tight roads and kills people every year as they override the corner. Or ride double, etc.

What rig number? Will endeavour to stop by....
Oh that was last week for the YORR races, we were running pits for all our local buddies racing.

Guess they have the help they need so I won't be doing recovery, Hopefully still can wandering pits. I however, don't stand out: short/skinney and look like a 16 year old, probably wearing camo.:homer:
