This originally was going to be a buy and part-out but after hearing the engine fire, seeing all the old NWOR swap parts and other bits such as their headers, motor mounts, leaf springs, greaseable shackle bolts and nice copper 4 core rad, I figured why not make a little thread and try to revive this old huffy. This is going to be all about budget, used parts backwoods fab low buck tricks and seeing how far something from this era will go. I'm sure some of you will appreciate the rear suspension setup or probably have some terrible flashbacks. From what I can gather it was put together in the late 80s early 90s as a PNW spec tree basher after they rolled it and spliced another cab top on. Yes I know it's not an immaculate buggy or super high-tech with beautiful cage work but it was cheap the frame is solid and so I might as well have some fun with it. It has not been wheeled or even driven in at least 20-30 years.

So far its setup is:
SBC 350
Th350
NP205
Custom driveshafts w/ all spicer joints
1/4 elliptical rear and some sort of locker
mystery front
NWOR springs,
headers,
motor mounts

very cool and totaly agree try to keep on the low buck. and have a shit ton of fun bashine it around

the rear suspension is wild. thats goon need some more pics and reports on how it works.

Little update for yah, got a lot of wiring removed and cleaned up and got it to move and run on its own fuel supply, need to redo the timing again but it's good enough to move around the driveway. Go ahead and roast me for the ratchet straps it's all I had that was cheap and readily available. Got a free Edelbrocken for now, set of used msd plug wires off marketplace that were in good shape and a handy little switch panel off eBay. Need to free up the shifter and replace the throttle cable before I try to drive it.

Can’t wait to see this thing out bashing trees!🤘🏻

Turd sandwich update Scored some used 38.5 TSLs tossed them on some wheels that I had and finally got the rig out in the woods. Definitely needs a 203/205 doubler setup as the gearing is not great, and open front is kind of gay but It works to bash through some trees as is. Still running push pull steering for now until I get some pieces together for high steer. It's probably been 20 years or so since this thing has had bark on it. So far so good.
