Confirm my stupidity, please.

I've got a square body running the old 6.2/TH400/208 and a rear driveshaft thats dented and not true anymore.

Dented the shaft wheeling, a while later the t case adapter cracked. I figured it was because it was old and weak cast iron. Bought a trans and t case off Marketplace for the adapter...which was cracked upon arrival.
Bought an aluminum Advanced Adapters adapter and have put probably 500 miles on since and now the trans case is cracked right in front of the adapter.

It does have a vibration that I attributed to the driveshaft being fucked, and kept putting off sourcing a new one. I knew if I kept running it, something was gonna get dicked from the shaft.

So, is that a viable theory? Pretty sure the engine mounts are good (will put a set of eyes on them when I get the truck in the air) and the mount at the crossmember is new.

Is your front driveshaft too long? Suspension collapses, driveshaft runs out of travel and punches back at the t-case.

Having a bent/dented/out of balance rear shaft isn't helping things. How bad is it out of round?

The Chevy trans adapters just chronically suck and crack if you look at them funny.

Time to learn to weld cast iron.
