Human health isn't an even distribution. You wouldn't look for an increasing spectrum of feminine behavior, you'd look for rapidly developing outliers, like 3000% by-decade increases in gender dysphoria.

Asa has generally been a decent governor, he's a big supporter of agriculture and has done a lot to bring new business to the state. I have some issues with some of his policies, but his rationale for vetoing the trans bill made sense. It's also much ado about nothing on the legislature's part, as there are no trans surgery services in the state and the chances of anyone providing those services are pretty dang slim.

As far as chicken hormones, sigh. Hormone use in chicken hasn't been legal since the '60s and was pretty limited in use prior to the FDA banning it, just due to sheer logistics. Hormones have to be injected, feeding hormones don't work, digestion destroys their function. It's a lot of work to catch and inject chickens.

I'm a native Arkansan but generally do my best to avoid Walmart too, but they are a huge boon for our economy, so while I don't necessarily like them, I'm glad we've got them.

Your elk comparison I disagree with. The reason we have elk again is because of groups like the RMEF. Virtually every state that wanted to reintroduce elk or bolster their population got advice from them and the numbers came back. Washington state told RMEF thanks but we got this. Our heard are large but horrible out of balance. And its beginning to be a real problem. The former manager of the south Rainier herd in the Gifford Pinchot begged the state to do a cow season for the herd health. The state fired him and we have less shootable bulls every year. We also hear about how when grandpa was growing up he had no problem finding fish in the rivers to catch with his kids. Ant now we have no fish. The states forget to mention that when they shut down the hatcheries for budget reasons they did a cold shut off, not phasing out one spanwing run a year but just up and stopped. Well the reasons we have hatcheries is because that was the deal for building a dam. So we have blocked the fish from their spawning grounds and then stipped the hatcheries programs. The Elwa river on thw Olympic Peninsula is a great example of wha happens when we remove what we fucked up. They destroyed the damn and in 6 years there are 80lbs kings spawning in their ancient grounds.

Your post is an example of where we used to be. Yes, orcas have a reputation for wildly effective hunting techniques, and now we have video. Your dad's story is 'just' another piece of lore about these amazing animals.

But you need to look into this. Orcas DID NOT attack human beings. Now they do. Yes we know what you know, that's why I said it.

We also know what you know about elk. You are describing a difference between management and I accept that. But I lived in WA in the 90s and one of the things being remarked upon was the fack that elk were becoming road strikes. The two western states I'm most familiar with are WY and WA, and I will repeat myself: Elk did not come within 1 miles of a road. Elk-hunting started 1 mile off a road. If you don't believe me, go back to the only surviving literature we have and that's accounts of Western hunting guides of the time.
