How about we punish malicious prosecution?

If this second round of clown show doesn’t get conservatives off the porch, then I’m convinced nothing will.
Stay on the porch and don't be an idiot. My FIL is sitting next to me listening to some talking head about how Trump just pulled another big move on Bragg (oh noes!). It's all pablum. This shit needs to play out in court. Please do not become the next headline for doing something stupid.

Will Trump see a bump in the poles like he did in NY?

Will Trump see a bump in the poles like he did in NY?

This is why he's being prosecuted, to ensure he's the candidate.

No better way to keep him relevant and his base energized.

that's my dad. retired alcoholic boomer that binges fox news all day and complains about biden. on election day he drove by the local voting precint and saw a long line so he turned around and went home

people like that are as much of a problem as the pink-haired lefties

Get him the mail in ballot. Or a dozen :flipoff2:

Yea get off the porch, get gulaged for years and give the state the justification for disarming and oppressing the populace. January 6th was a few mouth breathing boomers wandering around the capitol and we get years of "Insurrection" bullshit.

It's all or nothing, spotty demonstrations and uprisings are just fuel for our own destruction. We don't have the cover of a complicit media. Even an external attack will just drive the population further into the grips of the state.

We can try to vote, take back the institutions, push the fringes back to the fringe where they belong and try to live clean meaningful lives. Not much else to do unless there is a big swing in opinion. Democrats know that the charges against Trump are double standard BS but it is worth it to them to get rid of him, independents and suburban white women are tired of his shit and don't care either way.

Maybe Trump will go all Pablo Escobar end up in TRUMP prison that he built himself with hookers and a McDonalds:lmao:

Guy got caught because he was speeding AND his weapon printed when the citing officeer saw it.

If you think jan6 was actually trump supporters I’m sorry for you.

Not even boomers…. Soros pawns.
Ok, Let's say the whole thing was orchestrated. Every person that entered the capitol was a federal agent or a Soros plant. Hell, it wasn't even the capitol it was a hollywood set.

I don't think that changes or refutes my point. Individual protests, assassinations, rebellions will not help, only hurt. Why else would the federal agencies and global elite be trying to coordinate and orchestrate them?

Best thing you can do to get off the porch is to vote and make sure everyone you know votes.

Anyone with liberal friends, tell them election day has been changed to Nov 12th.:flipoff2:

I do think Trump will get a big bump in the polls from this. Independents who may not even like Trump are going to see this for exactly what it is. A lot of them will realize he'd be the best person to put this shut to an end.

There has to be even some D's that think this is bullshit.

Long shot I know but could this be a set up for Biden to pardon him in a show of "unity" there has to be more to the story

Do you know any? None of the many lefties I know thinks that way.

I do not have a single friend that is a democrat.

edit: I take that back. I did have one democrat friend who flipped out after Trump got elected. He "knew" Trump was going to end the world. He quit his job, sold his house and everything he owned, cashed out his 401k.............and bought a 65' sailboat to sail the world with his wife. His wife left him, cause coonass women don't leave Louisiana......and he sailed off over the horizon.
Last I heard was he had sailed to Honduras when his wife cancelled all his credit cards and shut off his phone. That's how he found out she was divorcing him.:lmao:

Watch that be some sort of crime now. lol

Not exactly the same but close. Sent out text saying you could vote by text:homer:

They know it's bullshit but they don't care, same with the civil case Trump just lost, everybody knows it is not a credible accusation but they think he is so evil that anything they can get to stick is the right direction. Remember that trump is "Literally Hitler" to these people and the ends justify the means.

Their surprised pikachu face when every president from now on is impeached, and framed for crimes, and 30 year old rape accusations will be funny.

Friend of mine is somewhere in the middle politically. We talked about this today and this is the basics of what he thought:

-Trump is screwed.
-Trump made the law that is going to send him to prison
-Trump refused to return classified docs so the FBI had to take them which is the main reason he is in so much trouble.

Also, they said they would vote for Biden over Trump or Desantis because "Cultrure war and divisive rhetoric. I'm tired of leaders causing more rift between people, and creating more radical wings on both sides".

So, that is the take from one middle of the road person that considers themselves informed.

Trump's Valet Is Indicted

An aide to Donald Trump was charged Friday in a surprise development one day after the former U.S. president was indicted in the Mar-a-Lago documents case.

Trump said on his Truth Social platform that his former military valet, Walt Nauta, had been charged in the case. Nauta went to work at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort after working in the Trump White House. It was unclear what his charges were.

In a report in The Guardian newspaper, Stanley Woodward was identified as Nauta's lawyer.

A spokesperson for special counsel Jack Smith, who is leading the prosecution, could not be reached immediately.

Nauta has been under scrutiny over his accounts of whether he moved boxes of documents at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in South Florida, according to NBC News.

Nauta was seen on surveillance footage moving boxes from a storage room before and after investigators issued a May subpoena for reuturn of all government documents in Trump’s possession. He told investigators that he did so at Trump’s request.

Woodward reportedly claimed in court papers that a top federal prosecutor brought up his application for a judgeship while trying to gain the valet's cooperation in the Mar-a-Lago documents case.

The Guardian said Woodward's claim was made in a letter filed under seal with the chief federal judge in Washington.

The newspaper claimed that Jay Bratt, chief of counterintelligence for the Justice department, brought up the judgeship during a November meeting with Woodward. At the time, prosecutors wanted to convince Nauta to cooperate with the government against Trump, the letter reportedly said.

Prosecutors had reportedly warned the lawyer that Nauta should cooperate and was at risk of a false statement charge because of conflicting testimony.

Nauta "served proudly with me in the White House, retired as Senior Chief, and then transitioned into private life as a personal aide," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump faces seven criminal counts related to his treatment of sensitive government materials he took with him when he left the White House in January 2021, according to a source familiar with the matter.

He is due to appear in the Florida court on Tuesday, a day before his 77th birthday.

Investigators seized roughly 13,000 documents from Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, nearly a year ago. A total of 100 were marked as classified, even though one of Trump's lawyers had previously said all records with classified markings had been returned to the government.
“I an an innocent man!" Trump wrote in all caps on his Truth Social platform on Thursday after announcing he had been indicted.

Trump has previously said he declassified those documents while president, but his attorneys have declined to make that argument in court filings.

NEW: Trump Parts Ways With Lawyers Over Classified Documents Case

By Susie Moore | 12:07 PM on June 09, 2023
The opinions expressed by contributors are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of RedState.com.

As if the news surrounding former President Donald Trump’s indictment wasn’t sensational enough, Friday morning came news that two of the lawyers working on the case for him, Jim Trusty and John Rowley, have now resigned.

Two lawyers who represented Donald Trump in the months before the former president was indicted on federal charges over his handling of classified documents quit working for him Friday morning.
The attorneys, Jim Trusty and John Rowley, did not explain in detail why they had resigned, other than to say that “this is a logical moment” to do given his indictment Thursday in U.S. District Court in Miami.
While some interpreted the announced parting of ways as Trump reverting to his “Apprentice” modus operandi…

Aaaaand apparently he just fired him. https://t.co/97PuPrOxQQ
— Rob Stutzman 🇺🇸🇺🇦 (@RobStutzman) June 9, 2023

…Trump himself left ambiguous who fired whom. On Truth Social, he stated:

For purposes of fighting the Greatest Witch Hunt of all time, now moving to the Florida Courts, I will be represented by Todd Blanche, Esq., and a firm to be named later. I want to thank Jim Trusty and John Rowley for their work, but they were up against a very dishonest, corrupt, evil, and “sick” group of people, the likes of which has not been seen before. We will be announcing additional lawyers in the coming days. When will Joe Biden be Indicted for his many crimes against our Nation? MAGA!
Immediately following news of the indictment, Trusty told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins that Trump’s legal team did not have the indictment itself in hand, but that they had received a summons, via email, from the DOJ setting forth the charges.

BREAKING: Trump lawyer Jim Trusty tells @kaitlancollins that they do not have indictment, but have received a summons via email from DOJ which refers to charges including:
1. Espionage Act Charge
2. Several Obstruction Charges
3. False Statements Charges
4. Conspiracy Charge https://t.co/wPvUdJ19ry

Whoever fired whom, news of the legal team split appears rather abrupt, as reports following the indictment laid out the team’s anticipated strategy.

What’s Next?

A law enforcement official reported that the U.S. Secret Service will meet Friday with Trump’s staff and security officers, and the Secret Service officers assigned to the former President will develop a plan for his travel and appearance for arraignment.
Another source close to Trump says that his lawyer “[James] Trusty knows the Special Counsel [Jack Smith]” and is expected to work with Trump co-counsel John Rowley and [attorney] Lindsey Halligan on the next legal maneuver, which is anticipated to be a motion to dismiss or a formal attempt to question the Special Counsel with specific regard to Jay Bratt, the DOJ’s Chief of Counterintelligence. Bratt is accused of prosecutorial misconduct by a lawyer representing a witness in the case.
What will the newly retained (for this matter) Blanche bring to the table? Possibly a cohesive strategy as the former president squares off against multiple indictments from multiple jurisdictions. Blanche was hired by Trump in April to represent him regarding the indictment secured by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg.

Former President Donald Trump has hired a top white-collar criminal defense lawyer and former federal prosecutor, Todd Blanche, as his lead counsel to handle the Manhattan district attorney’s criminal indictment of the former president.

Blanche, a former assistant U.S. attorney in the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office, has previously represented Trump ally Paul Manafort as well as Igor Fruman, a onetime associate of Rudy Giuliani who pleaded guilty in a campaign finance case brought by the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office.
In particular, Blanche’s representation of Manafort may have caught Trump’s eye. Blanche led the successful effort to get mortgage fraud and other charges brought by the Manhattan district attorney’s office dropped after arguing they would amount to double jeopardy because the state charges covered the same conduct for which Manafort had already been tried on a federal level.
