That doesn’t work. I’m indifferent to all the pettiness we see today. What I’m super pissed about is living under fascism. We are taxed to death, have to ask permission for any kind of business we would want to start, we’re reported if we spend too much of our own cash in one lump sum, we rent our land from the government (ties into taxes, I know), they require permits to better our own land, the list goes on.

Clearly, before you say it, I don’t do half the crap we’re required to, because I refuse to entertain it. But it still exists, so it angers me.

The government is just one giant get rich quick scheme anymore and it’s become overly useless to we the people. It does nothing more than to serve the bidding of the biggest investors.

People don’t grasp that the government has no money. And it’s not in the business of making a profit.

Any money the government gets it has taken from somebody. Often at the end of a gun. (IRS has a hell of an armory.)

This is so true. I am amazed that some of the people on there can tie their shoes.

It's really sad that this a good chunk of the under 30 people in the USA, although Reddit is worldwide I know.

Reddit is a great place for hobby, specific interest subs, etc.

News, finance, politics? Total echo chamber of the lowest common idea someone can post up first.

I have never heard of so many mental illnesses, inability to think or make a decision, etc. as when I scroll out of my interest subs. It's really sad what progressivism has done to a generation.

I think they get the property with zero taxes, but usually they go for more than the taxes owed. If there’s more than taxes owed, the previous owner gets the difference. (Minus some fees)

Egggzactly. There’s no collaboration in the R’s camp. Just a bunch of people complaining and dreaming about a civil war, which the reality of is not something people really understand. Everyone’s a billy badass ready to take up arms till they see their families getting killed.

In the meantime the D’s keep playing the political chess game to perfection, the R’s are too complacent or retarded to figure it out.
 
I don't think we're even close to seeing how brazen they will get. And a big reason for this is we allowed them to get away with orchestrating a so-called pandemic, allowed them to get away with stealing the 2020 election (remember the SCOTUS wouldn't even hear TX vs PA), allowed them to get away with staging Jan. 6th, are now allowing them to get away with blatant lawfare, and allow the media to continue reporting lies. When you don't cut the cancer out as soon as it rears it's ugly head, it will be emboldened and continue to spread.

It was probably an upset tax sale. Either way, the sales tax is wiped if the property sells. In Pennsylvania. I haven't been to a tax sale in other states.

I think every one I've seen, the (previous) owner is legally barred from bidding on the property. I'm sure there are ways around it....like getting a friend or family member to buy it for you. But even the, they rarely go for less than the tax owed and unless it's just a garbage property that nobody else wants, the "locals getting together to make sure the price stays low" doesn't work when investors and corporate buyers are in the picture.

As much as I want to see us have a semi-peaceful revolution back to a free country, the truth is we can’t. We also can’t organize like the left. The last time they tried, the Tea Party movement, they weaponized the IRS and DOJ against American people.

This isn’t 1770 anymore. An organization would require 100% secrecy and if ten people couldn’t vouch for each new member, then you couldn’t take in just anyone. We also already know how quickly a plant can end up in ANY organization.

The irony of all this is that it’s our constitutional right to peacefully remove politicians guilty of working against the constitution and bill of rights, guilty of treason, corruption, etc. But let’s see how that goes.

Simply put, we have lost. Why even bother?

That may be true about the previous owner. I have only been to a couple, last one in September.

Me and another neighbor were going to bid on a neighbors property and give it back to him or make some deal with him but he got on a payment plan with the county the day before the sale. The upset sale is in a relatively small room at the county courthouse. We had a plan.

The amount owed was less than $5k. The neighbor has 4 small plats, his house spans 2 of them. He thought he was paying on all of them but apparently was not. Now he is.
