Local truck on marketplace. 2000 K3500 dually, 7.4, rebuilt 4L80e, CCLB, 170k miles, exhaust leak, welded EGR tube from a crack. Asking 10k but I’m trying to trade him my GMC plus cash.

GMC is a 97 K2500, 350, 4L80e, 8 lug, 14b semi float, Ext cab long bed, 120k miles, dash is fucked, front seats are fucked under the seat covers

He wants the GMC plus $3k, plus I have to drive an hour and 15 mins to him.

If you need more truck than what you have it doesn't seem like a bad deal to me. That 4L80 rebuild probably cost the 3K difference and you're getting a drivetrain upgrade on top of that.

That said, I know absolutely nothing about those trucks.

I know lots about these trucks, but wouldn't call them a favourite.

I know these trucks are solid as long as the front end doesn’t fall out from under them. I don’t need more truck but I like the crew cab dually option

Yea I wound up passing on it because of that and some other small issues, the truck was beat upon further inspection

Gonna just keep mine now. It's perfect minus some cosmetic shit I don't really care about
