Trillionaires

I get decent stuff for my vizsla, costs me maybe $300 a year. I buy 2 different kinds and mix it. 2 bags, around 70lbs, lasts around 4 months.
Usually get a tray or two of good wet food every few months as well. Throw a can with the kibbles a couple times a week.

My lab didn't eat that much more. Course he would have ate 20lbs of food a day if given the chance. See tons of labs that are beyond obeese. 55 gal drum with a head, tail and legs.

I am feeding 4 dogs, two Live stock guardians, one a St Bernard mix and ones a Caucasian Shepherd cross. 110+ lbs each. A black lab cross thats 60lbs and a Amstaff that's around the same.

The big dogs, are on the move constantly and chasing off bears, cougars and wolves. Wife spoils them, as they are here mainly to protect our two youngest when they are outside or our on a walk, and secondary protecting our goats and chickens.

$500-600 canadian is our monthly dog food bill...

Took care of a ~160lb St Bernard for a while, it got 4-5 cups a day...roughly a pound.
She mostly slept though, no livestocks.

Good dog to scare off crackheads too. Big ass dig woofs mean way more than 50lb vizsla ones.

4 bags of dog food ~ 240lbs. That's 60lbs per dog... so enough for 2+ months

Our big guys get 6 cups a day each, 3-4 for the Lab and 3 for the amstaff (he is a senior now and doesn't get around to much) All I know is they eat and eat, and i am always buying more.

Each passing year reminds me too much of the cost of upgrades in dumb phone games. Starts out at 100 coins or whatever, pretty soon it’s millions and 27 upgrade levels to go.

Got all excited when I found an lsd differential was available for a shitbox o mine for $600 nope that was 8 years ago it’s $1300 now.

lol

I happened upon a tranny with a torsen in it for my fwd shitbox for a hundred bucks and it does actually work really nice
certainly not $500 nice like they were at the time, though again, they're a thousand bucks now

10-4
I stocked up before the big "shortage" a few years ago. Got 3 bags of each, 6 total. Ended up throwing out the last 2 bags, they had gone rancid by the time we got to it.

Just the same as groceries. First time I bought food was 2002 and I remember feeling sick to my stomach on having spent $75.

Now a days, it's more like $250-300 for a month of groceries.

Would be awesome if they made a people version of dog food that was healthy.

Only the government can help me now!

With your tax dollars. :flipoff2:

Holy shit its cheaper to feed raw real food vs kibble.
We used to but where we live now we can’t get it without paying a ton a money. Part of the issue being they don’t do small slaughter houses for the beef industry anymore… they truck most of it from ranch land BC to Alberta to get slaughtered then send it back :homer:

know of a couple dudes that pick up fresh roadkill to feed their sled dogs
stays fresher longer in the dead of winter, easier to cut up for the freezer when its frozen, too
li'l bit of axe work

I know this place is the pinnacle of derailing, but going from "Elons gonna be a zillionaire" to "Canadian dog food is expensive" wasnt on my bingo card...
it is the gift that keeps giving
honestly if you hit page two and you are still on track, it is a bit of a shock

So who are these supposed hidden trillionaires? :smokin:
I knew a guy who did solar installs on private islands, he said the ones he worked for kept their names scrubbed off the internet. Security is easier if you're unknown and it keeps down the kidnapping risk. He had to sign all sorts of non-disclosures to do the work.
