Anyone know what kind of input this is? 21 spline, 2.28 gear ratio. I think it’s from a L43 4 speed trans but can’t remember? The second set of splines is what made me wonder. Thanks in advance.

79-80 tcase input.
Specifically the 4 speed, correct?
They will work with a 5 speed, but may need a hair of the "extra" splines sanded down iirc.

I have one of these in the stash. Came off a L43 side shifter.
79 and 80 came with the sideshifter 4 speed. These t cases came with those transmissions only. They will fit with no 'sanding" or "grinding" otherwise to bolt to the l50ish that was available in 4 speed,5 speed,and the supposed "hd"in 83.
Awesome thanks guys. I got a bunch of spare t-case parts and have a few of these. I remember building a set of duals for a friend, and the t-case used for the crawl box came off a 79 4 speed. We had to massage the splines to get it to mate to the trans he had. I just couldn't remember for sure if this was the same one.
