205 is heavy pig and I'm a one man show, so cobbled up this contraption. Lower truck on lift, slide back, roll out.
Could be used w/o lift with a floor jack after some more mods to secure it.

Use some leftovers and booger welds :flipoff2:

Same. I always use a trans jack and block of wood. Ratchet strap the whole thing to the jack. A fixture would make it way easier.

Nice, I'll have to knock one of those up if I ever get around to resealing mine. Probably make one for the Jeep after I drop a D18 on myself tomorrow.

I cobbled together a fixture for my 203/205 combo that looks way worse than yours but does the job. I'm not proud of the craftsmanship but I was in a hurry and used what I could find.

I can pull/install both cases while still bolted together by myself. Taking the time to make fixtures like this is well worth the time.

You drop a d18/20/300 on youre self you prob dont have the upper body strength to turn a rachet wrench any how.
I caught a NP231 with my face once, body strength didn't have anything to do with it. Sucker slipped off the trans with no effort, I wasn't ready for it. It went from being on the Jeep to smashing my nose and splitting my eyebrow in about 1/2 a second.

I'm glad it was a light weight aluminum case. D300 or NP205 I probably wouldn't be telling you this story.

Built something similar when I was assembling my rest-mod repowered old Dodge. I wanted to get the divorced 205 up into the chassis as best as possible and built the mounts with the correct driveline angles to them etc. This contraption uses some slugs and pinch sleeves and goes into the floor jack saddle. I didn't have a lift at the time and built this truck on the floor.

That's one hell of a mount.

genius, I am always terrified of my 205 doubler killing me when I install it.
