How much real world difference is there towing with the 330/950 chassis cab powerstroke compared to the 475/1050 or 500/1200 pickups? 145 or 170 more horsepower is a lot but I know they dyno them differently so the math isn’t that simple. My current company truck that’s about to hit 300k is 445/925. It tows heavy a lot and I’ve been very happy with it but it’s being suggested that it’s about time to get another one.

The other differences are mostly a wash to me. I’d like the bigger chassis cab fuel tank but I also like being able to keep my spare tire under the bed. Looking at the build and price the chassis cab saves a little money. I just don’t want to be irritated for the next several years if it won’t pull as hard. Plus, 500/1200 sounds like a lot of fun.

I think your splitting hairs, keep in mind, a 250/500 truck would and did do it too. See if you can borrow someone's stock 7.3 for a trip :lmao:

c&c rear suspension will handle the load much better.

I went from a tuned 5.9 dodge, 6.7 dodge, to 6.7 ford, to a lightly modded 7.3. It just took some getting used to, and Daily driving a 4.9 f150 helped the 7.3 feel powerful :lmao:

Well the turbo setup is much different so the 330 has significant lag when first getting on it. My experience has been a 06 f350 crew dually vs the 19 f350 crew C&C that replaced it after the 6.0 cracked heads at 330k and started pissing diesel out the coolant overflow. The 6.0 was a lot more responsive than the 330hp 6.7. The 6.7 pulls fine once it gets rolling.
