Any issues with using a trans set up for full manual shifting for towing duties?
Normally I use the F350 for towing duties, but the motor popped, and I won't be able to get to it for a while still. I've been pressing a Suzuki XL-7 into hauling duties, which is fine for lightweight stuff, but I was pushing 3500lbs behind it last week, and it wasn't happy doing it.
I've been thinking about using the K5 with the 489 and 4L80E in it, but wondering if it's a really bad idea given that I have the trans running as a full manual? I don't really want to just try it and find out that it was a bad idea when I break something or end up shiny side down, lol
