Looks like a left rear shock blew out on my 2015 Ram 2500 4wd. Any recommendations for tow rig shocks? No lift, Cummins, stock size tires. Very rarely driven without towing. I am running rear air bags but doesn't have the factory air suspension.

Was looking at Bilstein 5100s but holy fuck they have gone up in the last year.

Looking at the Bilstein site it seems that the yellow 4600 series is the only ones that are for stock ride height.

Can’t go wrong with either 4600 or 5100

Get the 5100 if I’m you. Valved more firm and will help with dampening while towing.

I’m happy with 4600. I had it on my truck for over 100,000 miles and 10 years. Need new ones but found out they discontinued my truck application but 5100 is available so I went with it. Way better than rancho 5000 I tried. Lol

Looks like I can get a set of 5100s on Amazon for $380 shipped. Most likely go that route

It’s been a few years, but last set of shocks I put on a tow rig were Monroe Reflex monotubes. They were mid priced and got the job done vs bilstein money.

5100 in rear for me on my chevy 2500HD. Ordered thru Summitracing.com for warranty. Which will be worth it since lifetime.

i got that kelderman air bag kit (coil replacement) for my '18 2500. air ride has 100% improved my ride quality even over the coils.

if your in there doing the shocks, get some bag mounts in there too!!! cant recommend hem enough.

they slap in there in a saturday afternoon.

that being said, no feedback on the shocks. carry on.

Did 5100's on my 2004 Dodge 2500 diesel - night and day difference, and I was blown away by the improvement just the shocks made. Even if they were $$$.
