Top Pocket Find

Wife, Son, and I were digging a little old dump on the edge of our property yesterday. We have found a bunch of cork bottles from the mid 1800’s in this one. My son and I lost interest and left to ride dirt bikes. Wife found an actual “Top Pocket Find” as Gary Drayton would say. They were in a small glass bottle just about under a 2.5’ diameter Hemlock tree. She cleaned them up some this morning and put them on fishing line.

not plastic, wife thinks they are glass. My first impression was stone. If you zoom in on the holes on the above pictures it probably is glass.

I’m guessing newer than that, but who knows. Bottle they were in had the remains of a screw cap, but that means they could have been thrown away mid 1800’s at the earliest. We did find Hession buttons from the Revolutionary War on this property.
