Well, I know it’s a compressor, but what type is it?

He thinks he can pick the one he’s looking at for $500

if it pumps, then that'll be a steal. I wouldn't be dropping coin without plugging it in though.

This.

There used to be a $50k rotary in the back. It got sent to scrap because the previous owner let it sit for 5 years without running as the PLC died and he didn't think it was worth $3k to update.

Tech told me to spin it by hand before buying a PLC. It would only spin a few degrees and lock either direction. Turns out the horizontal screw models can get "sag" if they sit long enough or get handled rough enough without the factory shipping supports put back in.

I think he’s going to pass on it. Thing used 70a but not sure that’s just on startup. It’ll need a 50 hp 3 phase motor to setup a rotary system and a new 25 hp single phase is out of the question. So he’ll keep looking

Time delay. It's likely setup for 480v 3 phase if it only had 70 amp overloads for 50hp.

It would need it's own 200A breaker to run on 240v single phase at 50hp.
