What's new

Things you have found on the side of the road.

Saw a snap binder today
Thought about stopping, but not gonna in weekend traffic.
Have a picture of the shovel I found and was talking about earlier, the one with WTF 50 rolls of electrical tape on it

Cover the electrical tape with friction tape and redo it 60 years from now.

I found a 10mm deep s-k socket in a semi trailer tire in your area 15 years ago or so. Didn't look nearly as good as that though.
Not on the side of the road but I bought an 05 Tacoma a while back and needed to change out a headlight bulb. Pulled some stuff out and found a 10mm ratcheting box wrench that fell in the cracks. :homer:

I found a new pair of boots in the box and they were my size.

That reminds me, I found a Mexican landscaping hat, in my size, fucking score

Pulled the cowl off an airplane and the last mechanic left me an almost brand new set of snap on safety wire pliers. Best find to date.

That's awesome!
That's terrifying!

the stick is really waggly in the head

it'll get a good oiled wooden handle if anything, nothing feels better in the hands than working with a good piece of oiled wood

I need a better big hat

the one I bought from the thrift store is way too girly
not because it looks like it goes with a sundress
more because it is built so the brim flops over upside down in the wind when you're posing for a lifetime original movie and that kinda defeats the purpose of wearing a big hat

Now that I'm home... They are Red Head brand, which I beleive is a Cabellas thing?

I think I bought a pair of those at either sportsman's or cabelas for a Montana trip. Surprisingly good for $40.

I imagine it's be ecstatic if they were free:laughing:

A load of trex decking, spewed across a highway.
The guys 2$ strap broke.
Highway wasToo busy to try and salvage any.
Cars and trucks driving all over it.
The guy was about a 1/2 mile down the road. Had a big wtf look on his face.
Kinda felt sorry for him.

They were owned by Johnny Morris, who owns Bass Pro Shops, who then bought Cabela's.

A lot of the brands you see advertised there are "store" brands.

Lichen like the model railroad folk use for bushes?
Uhh....yeah.....
It was in a tub. Tub was upside down, "lichen" was loose and laying in the grass. I gathered said lichen and put it in the ziploc. .25 lb or so. I don't use lichen anymore so I told some friends who do to do so at their own risk. They did, didn't die and said it delivered.
