Top to bottom
S&W 66 no dash w/4” bbl. Took about 4-5 years of pestering the owner for this one. Liked my 2-1/2” barrels better tho. They were dash 2 and 3.
Ruger Vaquero Bisley in 45 Colt. Shoots like a dream.
Ruger Super Blackhawk 44mag. Typical example, but shoots excellent. Grips little too big for my mittens tho.

Jewel's Anniversary gift, 1942 Enfield No. 2 Mk. 1. While watching the PBS Masterpiece Series, Miss Scarlet & the Duke, that features a turn of the century, birds head grip, Webley WG in its open credits, and its frequent use throughout the series, Jewels turns to me and says, "You should get me one of those." Any excuse to buy a new gun, latched on to the notion. This was of course before I knew anything about turn of the century Webley WGs and their value.:laughing:

The Enfield is the Webley's grandson, maybe great grandson. Story is Webley designed it for Enfield, Enfield said gee thanks, we'll just make it ourselves now, then went on to kill Nazis with it, Webley sued and got some partial recompense. Jewels loves it, loves that it was a WWII service revolver and is pretty excited to shoot it. While still difficulty to find, .38 S&W is easier to come by than .455 Webley.

Need a Webley WG, MkIV, and probably a Smith & Wesson Victory too, might as well start a new collection right?

New holsters. Strong (right) side Galco for the S&W model 66.
Craft cross draw for the Colt King Cobra. Fits holster tighter than a dicks hat band. And, I have to lose weight or bob the hammer spur. Damn!

Colt King Cobra that I bought from Walmart in the late 80s back before they turned lib. It has only had a couple of boxes of ammo run through it.

Now that was an investment! Any idea what you paid for it?

I was watching a bidding war on Gunbroker for a Webly Mk IV, 15 minute rule prevents "sniping," but it had gone on for a while. Looked like it was finally over, so I bid last minute, mostly for my amusement. Now I own a Wbley MkIV. :shaking::laughing:

It was relativity cheap, seller disclosed that the main spring broke and was sold without one. Numrich has them in stock, so I bought a pair, figured if it broke once, I should have a spare just in case. New main springs showed up same day I picked it up.

Apparently I'm collecting .38 S&W revolvers now.

I have a problem. We started 2022 with zero British break top revolvers, now we have three. That's the "royal we," Jewels now has three, I just get to care for and feed them.

1914, Webley MkV, .455 Webley

Anyone priced .455 Webley lately?:homer:

I carried a S&W Mod 19 with a 6 inch barrrel for years love it miss it Jeremy Bastriski if you're out there return it and all will be forgiven otherwise know I am still hunting your ass

Been eye fucking a Taurus 605 2 inch barrel should have grabbed one in January when I had a chance before prices went though the roof
Well I was on Ammoseek.com the other day, for shits and giggles I looked up taurus 605s and found a place in Tx had them for under $300 so I grabbed one. I had been down on myself for not pulling the trigger last month when I found them for $349 at PSA.

Back in the 70s one of the gun mags showed a Webley that the guy had turned into 3 caliber pistol, The center was a shotgun I don't remember what guage I want to say it was either 20 or 12, then it was either 4 or 5 rounds of 44mag and the was a row of .22 ! to say the least it was a sizable pistol and he had made two one for him and smaller one for his girlfriend to carry when they were back packing. Again I'm dragging memories from close to 50 years ago IIRC he had to hand turn the cylinder and carried it on a sling!

We met in Dec 1990 working for TIC in Meeker CO, I was 33 and they were just kids. We rented a cabin the idea was she would take care of the place and cook and we split the rent in half, found out her idea of cooking was Hamburger Helper, forget breakfast we had to leave to early in the morning for her to get up. Totaled my 86 Samurai try to make up time ( job was 35 miles outside of town) because they had stayed up all night watching porn, hit a patch of black ice and we ended up on our side in the bar ditch, he got himself RIF right after and I was dependent on others for a ride to work. Met up again in July shut down of the copper smelter in Palais NM. He was working nights and I was days I barrowed the tin can travel trailer they had since they had apartment in Deming, because she was pregnant, and he asked to barrow my pistol so he and another guy could go shooting I didn't think anything about it till I got RIFFED and couldn't remember where his apartment was. Next job took me to CA where oddly enough I worked with his older stepbrother there was no love lost between them so he had no idea how to get a hold of him (Remember this is all before cell phones the the prolifcation of the internet) Next job was in Silver City, I asked the guy who was my job contact if he could either let me have his number, or have him call my mom and give her his. Since he didn't like him he gave me his number, when I called his wife answered told me I should have remembered where they lived and hung up on me!

If it is him I have been looking for him in Deming all these years, even had my nephew in law who works for the PO looking for him, add that to my spelling his first name wrong...

Almost a certainty that he is no longer with his girlfriend and had to sell your S&W to pay child support. There ain't nothing in Sterling. Should be easy to locate him.

Did some checking this guy had a journeyman electricians lic. in Co that is lapsed, at the time we were classified as helpers so the company wouldn't have to register us and report hours.
Yeah I am afraid you'll be correct. If he does still have it not sure how I would get it back, my traveling days are over for now

He sounds like the kind of fellow that might have a felony conviction (or two), report it stolen to the Sterling popo, with his addy of course... :))

Man, what a shot in the dark. That's what my very rudimentary searching turned up. Maybe you copy the number and name down correctly, do your leg work and I'll delete this in case it's someone unaffiliated

After 32 years I don't even have the serial number written down and I bought it from a guy going into the Navy SEALS that I worked with as a duty weapon when I was working guard. I don't even remember his name!
