It's because we've hijacked your thread to talk about any Toyota with an atlas :flipoff2:

KOH 2025 - Definitely a ripper, it gets crazier every year

I didnt take any pictures but here is a reel I made for IG from clips people sent me, we did turkey claw, half way up sunbonnet, and chocolate thunder 7 times Friday night. Thinking about switching up what weekend we go so we can actually get some proper wheeling in

Ya I'm towing from the bay area so I can't make it happen 2 weekends in a row.

Johnson Valley kicked our ass this past weekend, but it was still a fun trip. Jack hammer took a hub and stub shaft from a buddy, then one of my hubs half way up. Had to winch out and turn around, winching killed my old warn winch. Fixed them back at camp the next morning after a Yucca valley run. Then chocolate thunder gave me a nice little rock into my radiator which completely took it out. Second yucca valley run of the day to find a replacement. Got the new radiator in and night ran turkey, blueberry, and some of off your rocker. Next day we ran spooners and outerlimits, right at the end of outerlimits my buddy snapped another stub shaft, then I proceeded to do the exact same thing in the same spot :shaking: , then while three wheeling out I snapped the other stub shaft trying to not be winched out the remainder of the trail

Oh and I lost two trailer tires on the drive out to the desert, so it started out with a bang

Time to upgrade to 35 spline stub shafts

fl0w3n beat me to it, but got the truck back in action this weekend. Upgraded to 35 spline stub shafts :smokin: Needed new unitbearings to clear the larger shafts, so I got some drilled out to 8x6.5 so I could ditch the adapters and narrow it by 3". Shes still wide, don't you worry  Also fixed some other issues from the last trip. Bad coolant line, and also had a bad coolant leak from the back of the motor, turned out it was the intake flange at the front of the motor cracked and leaking onto the motor and coming off the back side, ez fix

You could just barely make out a crack, but it was completely snapped. This is from my engine cage cross bar, I though tit had enough clearance but apparently not. We did take some hard hits through the whoops that probably didn't help the motor mounts lol

I've also been having clutch issues, felt like the clutch was going out/was out. I bought everything needed to change the clutch out but discovered that I had a cracked firewall where the clutch pedal mount bolts up to it. It flexed enough to not allow the clutch to fully engage.

It was cracked at the top and bottom mounting bolt/stud.

I then made this shitty and comically larger than needed reinforcement plate

While bolting it back up, I noticed it was missing the upper bolt, I think its been missing for a long time which allowed the mount to flex, causing it to crack the firewall. Sorry for the video screen shot quality pic

Those two fixes seem to have fixed my clutch issue, so I didn't need to drop the trans this weekend thankfully
