The Patriot party

I see that as a reason for the dems not to impeach him. I think a 3rd party would hurt the repubs at this time. But boy would it be fun

It's far easier to boot some R's and fix some shit than startup a new party. Most of their "leadership" is close to 1,000 years old and kicking the bucket anyway.

I suspect the Patriot Party will receive the same, or worse, media coverage as the Taxed Enough Already Party

The leadership is untouchable, they benefited from fraud just as much as the dems did.

look at the Texas senate races. They spent millions trying to shoehorn Beto in over Cruz. Then this year Cornyn was up and I didn't even know his opponents name. Why wouldn't they try to oust him? Both are officially Republicans. He is unpopular, Nobody thinks he does a good job representing us. He would have been much easier to remove than Cruz. I vote against him in the primary every time I can but he keeps on winning.

Votes don't count, they pick and choose the winners and every once in a while someone manages to get elected they don't want. It's political theater.
 
If Trump was a true patriot, he would start the patriot party even if he was impeached.

Edit: even if he was found guilty by the senate.

Nothing to get excited about it is the usuall Unnamed sources, any other words they had a reporters meeting and said lets start a new rumor about Trump

Only thing is this time Mitch and the boys aren't in charge of the senate and may just vote along with the Dems to get rid of the thorn in their side

It'll take a 2/3 majority to convict and that means 17 Rs will need to vote for convistion if all 50 Ds do so.

Maybe this is about all the republicans that hate him. Did you read your own thread? Plenty of people have pointed out over the iast 4 years he is more of a independant than a R or a D. Mitch cannot wait to get the old corruption game going again.

He may make some noise at first, but IMO most people will start ignoring him in short order. Once people and the media realize he has no "base" you'll see no attention given to him.

I've done a whole lot of reading on this subject and it sure looks like congress has no authority to convict a private citizen, which Trump now is. If they're smart the senate will use that as an out and drop it.

He's no longer POTUS, so he has no power to help them. I guess you ignored that. Hillary had millions of people vote for her and she quickly became irrelevant.

probably somewhere in the middle of that. I would wager that now that he's not president, he won't be as relevant for the media. He'll pop up here and there, but they'll probably ignore him.

if the former President lays low for the next couple months, they won't convict. If he gets out there and goes on the attack, I think people will turn on him (that have stayed with him.) Lindsay Graham has to be mindful because if Nikki Haley doesn't run for president, she'll be after his chair. Depending on what he does, she'll do the opposite.
