That terrain seemed way over his skill set, effectively he was riding way over his head.

That's like trying to ride the local kids dirt jumps for funsies, not a good idea.
 
A pilot friend of mine says he watches all the plane crash videos he can. Helps to learn from others mistakes, as well as teach respect for the machinery.

0:34 Guy using a retractable lanyard gets pulled into shaft by moving equipment. This is often a real danger in mining when tieing off to a conveyance or near a conveyance.

 
0:27 guy gets squished by moving machine, then immediately after another guy squeezes through the same spot where the first guy got squished. :shaking:

I dont need any more morbid shit floating around my brain Im screwed up enough as is. To each their own tho. I always understood “snuff” films as women getting raped and killed in the end. I havent watched anything here but assume thats not what you were referring to.

I won't watch the bicycle one.

The others don't bother me too much. When I was in middle school I saw the aftermath of a street bike accident.

Yep.

Sad to see what happened, and I've also broken my C2 so he's in for some literal headaches. But his T spine break is the worst part and I'm not sure if he'll be able to get past that.

It's a good MTB lesson for what not to do. He was on a 2013 bike that wasn't at all modern in 2013, more like 2008/9 geometry which is a completely different bike from a completely different era in trail construction. The bike was new to him and you could tell from the first hit that the suspension was set up like dogshit. And while the guy was a noob and in over his head, had he been on a modern DH bike that was set up right he would have had zero issues.

What happened to the guy is the equivalent of a dirt bike rider who has never raced taking a new-to-him but well used and not set up 15 year old 250cc 2 stroke to a motocross track like Glen Helen or Washougal, and trying to hit the jumps on those tracks.

The bike one isn’t bad at all!!!!

Does anyone know how he landed, injury wise….. did his feet end up over his head, backwards????? Breaking his back???
His buddy says, “oh man, you lost a tooth”…. So assuming he face planted and feet continued over!!!!

Yeah but I'm most scared of shit that may actually happen to me, flying over handle bars and breaking my neck.

It looks like he went hard OTB and did a quintessential "scorpion" on his face. Not sure how he broke his T spine out of that though.

Yeah, snapped his top half backwards toward the back of his legs. Worst part is how long it takes after his arm goes in, he got to sit and think about how much he fucked up before he got folded in half.

If you google Russian Lathe Accident there's a site that comes up with all the aftermath pics and the accident report that breaks down everything.
 
It looked like there was nothing left of lathe guy, except for the blood splatter everywhere.
