Something is up. No way the news media would start dissing her right before the DNC unless... Media has been sniffing her farts for weeks, and just in the last couple of days seem to have the knives out. So how is this going to work with let's say sales commission? Or my piece rate pay production job? I made 330 balloons in a 12hr shift, the lady next to me barely got 200. So I guess they're going to fine the shit out of my boss... who will then make us all hourly doing away with the piece rate, and I'll be making 200 balloons a day instead of 330 because my incentive is gone.

Easy, just ban all that because it's racist and sexist. Government gets to pat themselves on the back, and they also get to tell you that you really didn't lose any money because your 4th of July feast of ground beef, an ear of corn and chips is $.04 cheaper this year, so you really didn't lose any income anyway.

The real tell is that they don’t define equal work. It is assumed that because you have the same job title you do the same work. Which maybe in an office setting is more likely to be true but anywhere else is a crock.
If you can hang with the other roofers hauling and nailing shingles, great, should be equal pay. If you constantly need help hauling squares up the ladder, you get paid for what you can do, not what Jose is doing.

Yea or regional differences in pay in regards to a national corp. Example if a dude in San Fran is making 6 figures and below the poverty line still, and a woman is doing the same job, making $65k, but living next door to 45acp, is she getting a pay bump to dudes level in SFO or is the company having to pay the fine? The unintended consequences of this proposed (will never get passed) regulation would be interesting to explore!!!

I’ve watched both Republican and Democrat politicians make short-term decisions in Congress that end up screwing them before they ever screw the other side as per the original plan.. I saw the Democrats changing the rules on how many votes they need for a typical law came back and bit them before they ever took advantage of it.
