What's new

The Kamala thread.

Maybe if an attractive woman is telling him he will actually focus on the lines of attack he can win on. :lmao:

Gabbard can attack Kamala on her DA and AG record from the left (the law is racist, jail is too harsh etc.) most Republicans can only do it from the right (soft on crime, released dangerous criminals etc.) Trump is a wild man and might be able to get away with both though.

I still can’t figure out why the video of her bragging about pushing for a sex change for a prisoner as AG while it was not allowed by CA law is not on every ad. Find out who it was and post their criminal record and picture along side Harris, easy peasy.

$25k isn’t gonna do shit towards the purchase of a home given todays real estate market. It would be a swift kick in the ass, and I would take it if it was available, but I would have to have a hell of a lot more money to make is down payment.
The whole country isn't socal.

25k would help a lot of people get into a house. Someone like my kid who could take that and couple it with the 15k he as saved, it would help. He has a job that is steady, pays well so he could afford the payment, etc.

He would be the tiny percentage.

In la-la land, where most people live however, this isn't reality.

What really happens is seller raises the price 20k at least and probably 25k. The market is now oversaturated with dipshits running around with their 25k check like it's 5 million because they have never had that much money in their lives and they are now high-rollers in the real estate game. Prices go up because there are so many new "tycoons" ready to buy with a "free check" and all they need is a signature.

Agents, loan officers, etc. are happy to sell dipshit on this house is perfectly affordable for them as they make 2000/mo and the payment would only be 1800!!! You will have two WHOLE hundred left over each month!! They cash their commission checks and move on to the next fool, bank as much as they can and wait for the crash in 2 years.

8 months later, dipshit one has maxed their CCs to stay afloat and reality sets in that it's time to walk away, short sale, or set it on fire. Sounds like just about 8 years ago with this shit.

The market crashes, and everybody gets fucked that actually played correctly while everyone else gets bailed out.

Then we do it all over again 7-10 years later when the bruises have healed and people want the government to fix the housing problem.

I DO believe that there are government solutions to the issue. This is NOT it.

Why don't
Well, higher prices spread like wildfire when all the Californians were fleeing during Covid. maybe they have come back down to reasonable in other states. Definitely not here.

The state government has to make up for the mass fleeing of people and business from that state, aka tax revenue, by keeping housing prices artificially over inflated so that they can tax you loyal plebs and newcomers on the overinflated price. Did you think your state government was just going to cut their losses in free money and move on with less??? :lmao:

Maybe in West Virginia, but not in most of the coastal states for sure. It's lip service, she's good at that apparently.

I don’t support any government redistribution of money, but 25k is plenty to make a difference- that’s 5% down payment on a 500k house. That’s a 3k monthly payment at 7% on a 30 yr mtg, so not terribly difficult to qualify for if a couple makes $100k combined.

The scary part is that it’s not really too far off in unicorn fart relalm of actually being a reality- Obammy had a $9k first time homebuyer credit back in 09 that I claimed because free money. I guess with inflation that’s not far off from $25k today. ( I took that money and paid off a car loan instead of stimulating the economy, due there were loan programs that allowed you to apply that credit to the down payment.)

Forcing corporate investment groups off single family housing would do more than anything for helping the housing market and create opportunity for first time home buyers.

Injecting more government printed cash into circulation isn't doing anyone any favors.

The house we paid $120k for will end up close to $600k if I include homeowners. I don't want the .gov to pay for it but they could do some regulating for this blank check theft ring.

Gabbard destroyed Harris. She's a master debater.
She just seems like someone decently principled who generally genuinely wants to do what's right. Isn't afraid to change her mind on issues with new information but also isn't out there flip flopping all over the place either. I don't think she left the Democratic Party as much as the Democratic Party left her. It's not like she's some out there right winger like the Dems and media make her out to be. She's pretty moderate down the line she just thinks that the 1st Amendment matters, that you shouldn't trans kids, and that the parties shouldn't be completely controlling the "democratic" process. The only thing she's really changed dramatically on his 2A.

The reason I trust her is because the Dems were prepared to make her a darling of the party when she first got elected. She didn't play ball and they wanted no part of her. If she wanted to sell out she'd be one of the top young Dems in DC right now. She went into politics naively thinking that okay, I agree with this party on quite a bit of stuff and maybe I can be my own person on the things I don't agree with and maybe even influence the party platform. That's not the way it works on the Democratic Party. You play ball the way they tell you to play ball or they take their ball and go home.

I trust her to do what's good for the country and to follow the constitution more than I trust Harris or Trump in that regard.

I trust Harris to do whatever her Democratic puppet masters want. That's exactly why they've always pushed her. She stands for nothing. She just wants titles and recognition. I don't think there's a single policy issue she won't bend on to satisfy her backers. Kamala Harris is a deep state rubber stamp without a single check on their power and influence.

Name a single politician since Regan besides trump that that statement doesn’t fit.

U.S. — Earlier this week, Kamala Harris agreed to participate in a two-hour X Spaces conversation with the beloved Sesame Street character Elmo.
The Harris campaign hoped the event would both quiet the persistent suspicion about the Vice President not answering questions and one-up the X Spaces conversation Donald Trump had with Elon Musk.
"Elmo loves Kamala! Elmo is excited to talk to Kamala!" Kamala Harris told reporters. "Kamala loves Elmo, too! HAHAHAHAHA!"
The Harris team announced the event earlier this week and said they hoped the conversation would clear up some questions about her policy proposals and campaign platforms. They also hoped the presence of Elmo would calm nervous voters and remind them about the simplicity and childlike nature of Kamala's campaign.
"Who doesn't love Elmo?!" Harris staffer Kristi Barker told reporters. "We feel like this live, unscripted conversation will show the Vice President's versatility in answering questions on the spot on wide-ranging topics like what her favorite color is, if she knows the sound the letter ‘L' makes, and if she likes spaghetti with meatballs or macaroni and cheese more. It's going to be great!"
At publishing time, Kamala's team had already canceled the event, citing concerns that the conversation may expose the Vice President to looking less intelligent than her interviewer.

They all have at least some things they're willing to stand on. For example, there's no way the establishment wanted Biden to go through with the Afghanistan pull out and the Dems wish he'd push back on Netanyahu at least a little because they know the Israel war is unpopular among their base.

Yep, that would be step 1

Opening up federal land to sell at discounted rates IF builders made more "affordable housing" with the land and offered tax breaks on the sale of those homes. NOT apartments.

Changed zoning laws to make more land available

Lowered permit fees for new housing

In California, ditch the fire sprinkler and solar requirement

I could keep going. Of course, these are not all federal roadblocks but state and locals could help as well.

The thing is when you have no guiding principles and stand for nothing is you tend to just agree with whoever is talking to you.

This is Harris. If you watch her, she just automatically agrees with whoever is asking her a question or presenting an idea. Every. Time.

In the Washington swamp, that is dangerous as fuck.

Fuck that woman is dumb.

I can’t wait to see Elon dressed up as Elmo. This is going to be lit.
