I bought an SCX24 about a month ago. Hooked, loving the mini/micro RCs. I was into nitro shit over 15 years ago, this newer stuff is cool and since I live in a 5th wheel they take up less space.

SCX24
LaTrax Rally
Losi Mini T 2.0 brushless

I built a course that fits on my golfcart, can be used inside and stores everything. The SCX/radio and battery bag store in molded pockets on top that are part of the course.

No, I used boxes, paper towel rolls, paint can tops, 1/2" black pvc, old lcd TV legs, tape rolls, whatever was around lol. It's 6 cans of Great Stuff and 2 cans of textured paint that is pretty much brown spray sand texture. The paint does not come off of the foam.

I'm sure it would have been less cans of foam. I didn't figure out to hold the cans upside-down until the 3rd can so I wasted half of the first two. :homer:

It's 2' wide x 3' long.

What do you get for run time on the lipo? I really like the idea for small areas. I catch hell when I bring my 1/5 scale Baja into the camper.

I get well over an hour but I ordered the switch that let's me use ch3 to turn off the leds. I could just unplug them but that's no fun.

My charger will charge them way faster than the scx24 kills them. One spare battery and a decent charger and you have infinite run time.

Got the paint done. Gotta touch up and hot glue a magnet latch.

Not sure what to do with the door. I thought of just completely wrapping it in black duct tape.

Did a little more work today. Tank trap "mud" and a stream. It's cotton balls, pipe cleaners, Elmer's glue and paint. There's a pipe cleaner frame inside the mud. It's smooshy but formable.

On the golf cart. :flipoff2:

The tires ate into the cotton quick in my mud pit. I just stuck it inside a gallon size ziploc and sealed it minus most air and other than it being shiny the tank trap works perfectly.

I'll put the water inside some moving tape or saran wrap.

got to admit, I thought that you were picking up dog turds there for a second

A+ for creativity, needs to be bigger:grinpimp:

Nice homemade course.

Try airsoft bb's for the mud pit. I've seen some homemade rc courses that used them and they work pretty well. I guess only downside is emptying them out and not spilling everywhere.

Yeah, the mud pit now has Bonsai potting aggregate in it which is small rocks. I'm gonna get some airsoft BBs today. The pit is deep so it stays in well and doesn't have to be full. It's much better now and should be more fun.

Kinetic sand sounds like what I started searching for but had no idea what to search for. Off to look now.
