Well... This is not a hard core build at all, but it uses some fun toys so some of you all might be interested. Essentially I need to build a skid plate for my 2018 Ford F150. This truck hardly ever goes off road, but the stock one is pitiful. I am not looking to bounce this off rocks, but I also don't want a corn stock to take something out.
So what is a guy with a garage full of CNC toys suppose to do? Well... he goes for some Non-cardboard aided drawling....
After a few hours of measuring and designing... I got to where I wanted to be. I knew I wanted some vents for the exhaust pieces. I also wanted a way to semi protect the cats from thieves... I also knew i wanted to add some reinforcement ribs around the transmission and a little door to make oil changes easier. We will see if I put it in a location where I won't drench myself in oil in a few weeks....
From there it is time to get sparky out...
