Stratospheric Atmosphere Injection

In the early 1900's there were a small number of companies seeking investors in technology that was supposed to be able to control the weather. These companies were exposed as frauds (supposedly) and used as a reason by states to pass anti-fraudulent investment laws known as "Blue Sky Laws" so named because of these (supposedly fraudulent) weather control companies.

Needless to say, having been exposed as frauds, these companies went out of business and any patents or technology they may or may not have were "lost".

In the 1930's, a stock market crash followed by extreme drought conditions led to the Great Depression. Isn't it interesting that the stock market preceded the droughts and not the other way around? It would be more logical for droughts to lead to crop failures then affecting futures markets and ultimately the market as a whole.

Was the "weather controlling technology" used to cause drought conditions and the Great Depression resulting in the final abandonment of the "homestead economic" system in favor of the "central banking economic" system?

Understand that this weather controlling technology doesn't need to be precise or exact in any manner to accomplish what happened in the 1930's.

Fast forward 90 years of using and gaining better understanding of the technology, could it be used to help generate massive hurricanes? Maybe. Could it be used to direct hurricanes along a certain path? Doubtful.

In my opinion, if the technology does exist it is still not precise. E.g. it could be used to increase the size of existing systems (hurricanes) or cause them to prematurely dump all of their moisture (droughts), but I don't think it could be used to direct the path of storms, at least not enough to be useful.
