Just sharing and for all i know, im super late to the game .

I have a nice plasma setup and a oxy/acy setup. Great for certain things. Usually break out the gas torch if its thick metal, or something cut real quick.

Plasma for thinner stuff, shapes, etc... Little more time running air to it lol yea i know.

But for long straight cuts im completely sold on the carbide circ saw setup.
As im aging my vision isnt great so cutting without shade lens on is huge for me. This eliminates the use of shade lens, duh You still have to run your straight edge setup whether its gas, plasma,or saw.

No slag to deal with, its actually not really loud, and its a nice clean cut that doesnt take long at all. Much quicker than a plasma.

Ive done cuts on 1/8 and 3/16 sheet so far...90" long rips

shit eating grin when i was done. Just thought id try it out and was super pleased.

Setup straight edge, plug in, ppe..and go.

Thought id share

The 15 amp worm drive skil saw. I have a slugger chop saw too, and have played with varying tooth count carbide tip blades but still havent found one that ive settled on bc just havent been too happy.

But the circ saw steel demon was awesome.

Thanks for the link

I'm drooling on the M18 Steel cutting saw with the 8" blade... I've been finding that my Porta-band just aint what I need it to be, and breaking the Plasma torch off the table is obnoxious.

Anyone run one of these? The price is up there but it seems like its a professional jobsite tool and not a homeowner level thing.

Pretty cool lookin, but $$$. Im totally content with my old 15amp worm drive and a 7 1/4 so far. A new plasma only a year or so old will only be used for curvy lines:smokin:
