Steel core 7.62x54R?

Boxes say bimetal FMJ. Does that mean they are steel core, or does the bimetal in reference to something else?

Bi metal bullets are lead cored. They usually have a copper washed steel jacket. A 10 second google search would have answered your question.

Yep copper washed steel jacket. Check the bullet with a magnet to be sure.

Copper-washed steel jacket, like mentioned. Steel-core armor penetrating rounds should have a colored tip, but most boomer RSOs won’t let you shoot it if it attracts a magnet because they automatically think it’s got a steel core and muh backstops…
