Well?
I'm a trekkie all the way.
But the force is real, I'll admit that much.

What about you?

Old Star Trek sucked, the newer ones were entertaining.

Star Wars all day every day.

They've both been run into terrain at full throttle.

Bad writing and a release schedule that's trying to keep up with the Kardashians.

Zero fucks given....and I was a huge fan of both.

This.
I like both but probably a bigger fan of Star Trek just because its a TV series. Disney has definitly ruined Star Wars. Last few have been complete train wrecks.

Firefly
New BSG
Mandalorian

I liked the first new ST reboot but after that they went downhill. I would still watch if another is released though. Grew up watching The Next Generation/DS9 so it always will have a soft spot in my heart.

I'll watch Star Trek but I'll pass right by it if Star Wars is what I'm looking for.

star wars has better me me's

The Orville :flipoff2: with Firefly being a close second.

But as to the choice at hand, I've always liked the Star Treks, partly because of the short story / episodal format. Star Wars just seemed too played out by the time I saw the movies, as I was a generation late.

I think the plot in the Expanse is great, but the icing on the cake is they actually get aerospace and orbital mechanics correct, everything else drives me nuts since they just throw physics out the window, idgaf if it's sci fi :D

Yeah, I got addicted to the books before I realised there was also a TV show :homer:

Really like the mechanic of accelerating like a motherfucker for half your journey and then flipping around and braking like a bastard for the second half to provide gravity.

Also like the fact that warfare is generally firing hunks of slag at your opponents ship instead of pew-pew laser beams...

Killing people off with a stroke during hard maneuvers and pumping all the air out of the living spaces before battle really makes my geek senses tingle. I can't wait for that last book.

I just started watching the show a few weeks ago and just started season 4. I might have to read the books since I've had to slow my episode watching to not run out before season 5.

They are Hollywood fantasies and I speak as a life long reader of SciFi. I liked the first three Starwars after that they jumped the shark, watched Startrek as a kid and several of the movies, even met Leonard Nemo 1987. But I ain't going to dress up like one of the charactors do the Vulcan sign and tell everyone "Peace and long life", and I sure ain't going to tell everyone "May the force be with you".

babylon 5 was alright.

certainnly groundbreaking graphics in a TV show at the time.
