So this is something I've been thinking about lately and the government clickbait thread made me decide to make a thread.
Lately, especially with the onset of the coronavirus I've seen a lot of back and forth about what people think is true, but without any actual evidence to support what they claim.
The coronavirus is probably the biggest one I have seen. On once hand we have a group of people who claim the virus is very dangerous and we must take drastic measures to mitigate it. They claim what has been done thus far is not working and the virus is making a comeback in a big way.
On the other side we have a group of people who claim that the virus is not really a problem at all. They dont think any extra precautions are required and that the increase in cases is due to the increased availability in testing. They think there is no need for extra protections and what we've done is all for not.
What I haven't seen is any factual information that either side is using to make these points. Studies of the virus seem very limited (at least I cant find any) and verified numbers on test availability and testing rates does not seem to be available, at least not consistantly between sources. So I dont understand how anyone could put any faith in these claims, from any point of view.
Another example, though much less serious but more funny is the feud between Mia Kahlifa and Bangbros. Both are making claims agaisnt each other, yet neither has provided any proof. Bangbros has gone as far as putting up a "facts" website, but on that site all they've done is post contradictory statements to the things Mia Kahlifa has said.
It makes no sense.
