Spinoff: Netflix- Formula 1: Drive to Survive series

has anyone been watching this series on Netflix? I think there are 3 seasons out now. Season three was during 2020 and showed what they had to deal with during the Covid crap. I find it really interesting the behind the scenes stuff that goes on with those teams. I turned off the last episode of S3 when they interviewed Hamilton and he got to tell them about being the only black kid on the racing circuit as a kid. Dude is a 7 time champion. you aren't oppressed!

He wasn’t saying he was oppressed 🤦‍♂️ he had said he didnt know why there wasn’t more black drivers. Obviously they aren’t as interested in racing since there is only a handful in all of car racing as far as I know. He had the typical BLM shirts and shit on but that’s it. He even got rona and had to pass on being in 1 race. I really like the series. It was a total soap opera with drivers switching teams though

the soap opera is what gets the non-F1 fans watching.

i enjoy it, because I enjoy F1 overall. the drivers are mostly HIGHLY paid HIGHLY skilled guys who care as much about their appearance as winning itself. Would be interested to hear more of the backroom team discussions when they're saying "fawking Ric just joined, and now he's leaving again?!"

Yeah I don’t watch any of F1. Or any sports really. It’s so weird with how everyone is so proper over the radio. When the car breaks down or someone wrecks someone else it’s never “fucking shit” or “that fucker/asshole/tosser/whatever European slur”
And P1 instead of first place. Only other sport you can get 10th place and still be excited(yes I realize it’s a points thing)

I adore this series. The cinematography is excellent, the drama juicy, and the production value is pretty darn good. Reminds me of the old Top Gear as far as having neat things for the eyes to look at. There was one shot where they slow-mo'd a race and filmed it as the cars passed on concave windows; just so cool.
