How much does insurance cost each year?

$600 every 5 or 10 years seems cheap, use the rest to buy a new car :flipoff2:

My minimum annual is about $750 per vehicle.

With my luck (uninsured) i'd get fined twice promptly, have license suspended, and further penalties :homer:

If you are at fault, uninsured or their insurance isn't going to matter to you.

Your collision would handle it
This thread is about them being at fault.

If you're at fault it doesn't matter if they have insurance or not so the question wouldn't exist.

Reading the updates on the insurance thread, if you were in a crash with someone without insurance and were likely at fault, would you:
From the OP, reads like I am the one at fault.

If they hit me and they don't have insurance, depends on what vehicle I'm in. I've been in that situation several times, several of my cars have uninsured motorist just for that reason. Generally call the police and file the report regardless, they probably won't show up but insurance will want the form

Q:> Spinoff, if you hit someone without insurance what would you do?

A> Hit them again if they didnt go down.

OP question didnt mention a motor vehicle.

Edited, YOU are at fault.

Pisses me off if you hit some dirtbag who doesn’t pay insurance and your insurance goes up to buy them a new car.

I’m all about fault but I’m also about responsibility. 600 fine is CHEAP for most people compared to paying for insurance. .

While I agree they would be breaking the law and therefore shouldn't get any payout because they technically shouldn't be there [and I accept this if I ever drive without insurance]

But at the same time, it's just the same as if you hit a cow or elk or building. Doesn't matter. You are at fault. Don't be at fault :flipoff2:

You hit the guy, you owe to make him whole. How in the hell is it even in the equation whether he has insurance?
How old are you?

Even if he had insurance, they'd go after you or yours to get made whole. It makes no sense to even wonder on that.

No if you hit a cow or elk your comprehensive pays you. Not the uninsured dirtbag. Won’t affect rates. I hit a deer and 32k claim cost me $50 deductible.

Maybe they pay for a cow though if it’s in a state like Texas

By denying it was my fault and offering to call the cops. Otherwise we can just go our separate ways and take care of our own shit.

Most of them will backpedal the second you say you are going to call the cops.

The short of it goes like this: I gyrate my penis around in circles while North Carolina by Petey Pablo plays deafeningly loud from my wrecked uninsured car.

A street take over breaks out

We all have a great time and go home with hot latino women but I lose my pink slip in a race and owe Dom Toretto and 10 second car. A few years later we’re all old and tired but we take our cars to space to fight bad guys. All of us are wondering where does this end and does anyone still actually watch our adventures? It seems ridiculous like we’ve jumped the shark 7 movies ago. Hell, the blonde guy just flat out decided he’d had enough and took a left hand turn and drove off into the sunset. Most people stopped caring after I was labeled DK the drift king. No one remembers or cares that I haven’t had insurance this entire time. The jokes on the guy I hit.
Sounds like the jokes on you. "SURPRISE!!! here's my big burt."

Depends on the county and the condition of the fence. There are still a few free range counties. If you hit a cow in them you owe somebody a cow. In the other counties if you hit a cow you’re on your own unless you can prove the fences were in disrepair and cows getting out in the road was a repeat problem.

When you're right, you're right. Dead nuts on.

How about... Don't run into things :flipoff2:

At-fault insurance has always seemed retarded.

Figure out how/if you want to insure your own property and move on.
I agree with this. Car insurance is a fucking scam. We pay to insure our own shit against ourselves, we pay more to insure our own shit against other assholes, we pay some more to insure our shit against random acts of nature, and we pay even more to insure everybody else's shit against ourselves. Insure companies have every angle covered.

If everybody carried a simple policy that protected their own shit from whatever may come, it'd be a lot simpler. That way we wouldn't need to try and carry insurance to cover three Ferraris that we ran into, it'd be their problem to carry that much insurance. Any damage caused by the Ferraris in self defense would be covered by our insurance.

Insurance companies would fight this tooth and nail.

The insurance company I had a policy with when I lived in Nevada called it an operators policy FYI~

Your liability would cover damage to their shit. Collision covers your shit from your dumb ass.
Its actually property damage if you are going to correct someone at least do it correctly, dumb ass. :flipoff2:

Its BI or bodily injury and PD property damage.

Liability is from commercial or homeowners FYI.

(Washington could be slightly different)

My policy says Liability, and that's exactly what the fuck it is. Break it down further to bodily injury and property damage all you want, it's still liability. Dumb ass.

You can ALSO have liability on your homeowners insurance, but that's generally an umbrella policy that covers pretty much any kind of liability and has nothing to do with cars.

Man, that'd be sweet to just have it be legal and easy to carry a single umbrella policy and drive whatever the fuck you want without needing to send a ln insurance tied to a piece of fucking nothing to the state for legal access to the roads
