Reading the updates on the insurance thread, if you were in a crash with someone without insurance and YOU were likely at fault, would you:

Last crash was an idiot woman who rear ended my boat trailer. Her car was damaged worse than my trailer and I didn't want to deal with the hassle and an incident on my record so I told her it was fine and left. She probably had regrets later when she called her insurance but fuck her for gunning it into my trailer after she had stopped behind it in traffic.

Crash before that was a friend driving with no insurance in indiana. He followed a semi through a red light and cross traffic hit him. He totaled a car with 2 people in it. The cop cited him for driving without insurance, the wrecked cars insurance sent him a bill for 20k and he got out of it by dieing from covid. His wife sent them his death certificate and heard nothing more from it. I had stuck my neck out for them and agreed to help drive their moving truck across the country and they fucking lied to me when I directly asked if it was insured. I found out many hours in to the drive that it wasnt, and that was because it was $500 for 6 months on a commercial vehicle. Well saving that $500 cost $20k and a friendship. I couldn't believe he was that selfish to have me drive uninsured from NH to NM in a freighted truck. I guess he had come to expect that I'd always just help him out, but damn he burned that bridge on the move away.

Lady in front of me stopped for someone trying to get rear ended and I hit them. I took responsibility and claimed it on my insurance because she didn't hit the scammer in front of her. My policy only went up $50 a month

At-fault insurance has always seemed retarded.

Figure out how/if you want to insure your own property and move on.

The short of it goes like this: I gyrate my penis around in circles while North Carolina by Petey Pablo plays deafeningly loud from my wrecked uninsured car.

A street take over breaks out

We all have a great time and go home with hot latino women but I lose my pink slip in a race and owe Dom Toretto and 10 second car. A few years later we’re all old and tired but we take our cars to space to fight bad guys. All of us are wondering where does this end and does anyone still actually watch our adventures? It seems ridiculous like we’ve jumped the shark 7 movies ago. Hell, the blonde guy just flat out decided he’d had enough and took a left hand turn and drove off into the sunset. Most people stopped caring after I was labeled DK the drift king. No one remembers or cares that I haven’t had insurance this entire time. The jokes on the guy I hit.

TLDR, friggen wall of text.:flipoff2:

JK, I read it.:lmao:

Probably tell em to fuck off, or just leave, maybe kill em if they started taking pictures of me or my license plate.

My insurance went up $100 a month a few months back for one ticket, my first ticket in like 8 or 9 years, my dui conviction just showed up and my new policy for the next 6 months is a whopping $13 more, not $13 more a month $13 more for the entire 6 month policy.

Insurance is stupid

Driving without insurance is at least a $600 fine here.

If they're in the wrong, I'd like the cops on scene. If I'm in the wrong, and I report the situation properly, they can't claim against me.

Random person after a crash: oh my god, I’m so sorry. Are you alright???

Damn you for getting that repetitive song stuck in my head.

I don't understand why this is a question.
If they have no insurance you need a police report so you can use your uninsured coverage.
Simple.

What would be the purpose of you lying and claiming you don't have it either?

If you are at fault, uninsured or their insurance isn't going to matter to you.

Your collision would handle it

In my early driving years, many years ago, I pulled out in front of a guy(my fault) and he ran off the road and hit a telephone pole head on. There was a lady in the car with him and she must of hit her head on the dash and was bleeding from her forehead (this was before airbags). I felt terrible and ran to his car to offer aid. Guy looked at me as he sat in his car, steam coming from the radiator, and said "I'm good". He then put the car in reverse and took off. It was a POS car and I can only guess if the cops came, he was going to jail???
