Sore Dick Deals

This is what gives me a sore dick. They are a seller of sellers, and don’t actually own any of it. They’ve been paid, and don’t care. I knew it was a great deal, and I have no use for it. I was pissed when I reported it a week ago and they told me to wait longer. I could have been a week closer to my forced refund. They should kick sellers out for this shit.

You have 3 main types of shipping on amazon -

-Sold by amazon, shipped by amazon
-Sold by a 3rd party, shipped by amazon
-Sold by a 3rd party, shipped by a 3rd part

The first one, you're getting the best response if there's a problem.

The second, you'll get more help from amazon, but it's ultimately up to the 3rd part to settle a problem. Amazon will usually side with the buyer though.

The first two, you're getting the fastest and most reliable shipping as it's all going through Amazon's warehouses and logistics.

The third, which is what you're dealing with, is almost always going to be the most risky. And there really aren't as many items shipped by 3rd parties as there are the other two options. The problem here is that you could have a simple mom and pop operation selling their homemade products, which is probably the original idea behind the program, but now you also have massive chinese resellers listing thousands of shit products. You can usually tell if it's going to come from China simply by looking at the shipping time - if the deliver date is 2+ weeks ago, it's likely. In that case, you're probably better off going to Banggood or Aliexpress for the same product and probably cheaper prices.

Point of information, you (as a 3rd party seller) CAN ship as Prime from your location via USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.
You have to be able to ship that day and have it there in 2 days IIRC.
A co-worker sells on Amazon and can ship as Prime from their location.

True. Forgot about those. I'd wager that's a very small percentage of listed items too.

How does he do it? Can he just never take a day off or go on vacation? Or does he just keep product with him so he can ship from wherever he is? I imagine Amazon only lets you miss so many before you get booted.

From what he has said, if he's going on vacation he puts his account in "vacation mode" with the dates he's going to be gone, then people can still place orders but it shows that it won't ship until he gets back.
As for not shipping on time, I'm not sure what the number is, but if it doesn't arrive on time, the buyer can get refunded.

I think he can have up to 3% where he cancels the order and does not ship, he uses that for people who try to scam him and then order again.
IIRC he said that he has a list by where he packs the orders with names and addresses of people who have tried to scam them in the past.

I sold on Amazon as a 3rd party for about 2 years. I sold a bunch of flange, taper, and pillow block bearings on there that I had picked up in a big auction. All new old stock items that had to have UPCs and be ISO compliant per their rules to sell in scientific. I tried becoming an automotive seller and jumped through all of their hoops to create a secondary store front, website, supplied all of my inventory information, etc... Just for it to sit in a line for approval for months and then I got sick of the scammers and just moved it all to eBay. It was a rather pain in the ass experience between scammers, used junk returns and Amazon not realizing / caring about what a used bearing returned in the new item box looked like, and then all of the constant battles of trying to be the cheapest option out there. I also got dinged on a "last item" situation. Amazon ordered it, then said it was damaged during shipping and wanted it replaced. I tried doing the local drop prime for a minute but got dinged twice on part of UPS not picking up from the drop point I used and then just stopped with that process all together.

I try not to deal with Amazon unless the product is only sold through them and the A to Z guarantee is better than the manufacturer's own policies. An example is the Huanyang VFDs that I use on my machines. There is more support through AMZN than any other selling source. The whole marketplace setting they run is just frustrating and if I want to buy chinesium junk at a risk, I'll do it through eBay. Just personal preference.

Have anything that needs an SD card?

Best Buy (also their eBay store) has SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO SDXC 200mb/s cards for $12 and free shipping. I've used the 170mb/s version for years in my personal electronics and a few things at work.

There seems to be a gap in all of my wrench sets. They usually go up to 3/4 inch, some go to 1 inch, and then my bigger set starts at 1 3/8.

Recently I've been doing more hydraulic hose stuff, and keep needing 1 1/8 and 1 1/4.

Found this set on amazon.ca and seems it's cheaper on .ca in CDN dollars than .com in USD.
Ordered 3 sets.

I'm also patiently waiting for these two sets to go on sale/clearance at the canada harbor freight (princess auto).
14 piece goes up to 1 1/4 and the big "jumbo" set goes 1 3/8 to 2 inch.

Paraphrasing Ron White...
"I got in last night, and some guys wanted to go buy more tools. I didn't want to go, but I ended up going, cause you guys will back me up on this, you've bought a few tools... you wanna buy the rest of the tools!"

Husky Cabinets Half price
some of them are 1/2 off again...

Searching the Google, the next closest price I could find was $10.40 from Suncoast Precision, but they had $12.45 for shipping. Heck, the 4oz containers were around $5.

Ordered three. Many thanks for posting!

In playing around with the coupon codes, you can get the discount on both a half ton and one ton crane scale in the same order, but when I put the coupon code in for the crane scale(s) the code for the gland nuts was removed along with the discount for them. They're supposedly all "Fewer boxes, fewer trips" except then they force you into separate orders. :shaking:
