my truck never does short run stuff. it is hooked to a trailer hauling ass. and i have never seen an analysis that said the oil was bad on a decent engine in 10k. but i am just following what the truck wants me to do. hell i do 10k changes on my 03 escalade. it has 240 or so on it, hell it is still on the stock plugs. but again, no short trip stuff to speak of.

Checked the web and Ford's OC interval on the 7.3 is 10k miles.

I'll change mine at 1k with dino grease and then at 6k with synthetic and 10k after that.
