What's new

SNLC

Gun range this morning now I'm learning how to build an epoxy mold for a carbon fiber part. Never done this before so started with a small part (harley brake mc cover). applied a wax, release agent, now a tooling gel coat and have to wait a couple hours so I started a little fire in front of the shop and relaxing. Hopefully learn this skill and turn it into a little side gig. That's far away though. It's kind of chilly here so iput my work lamp on it to warm the area so i don't have to wait all night to move to the next step.

In, did shit around the house for my sister, went on the Montana DMV website to make sure my probationary license was getting reinstated this week and it said I wasn't eligible for my regular or CDL license until 2026 now, so now I get to wait till Monday and find out what the fuck is going on.

Went to the empanda store tried her red chili stew last week so this week I picked up two of them.
Picked up a couple watch batteries at the dollor store, stopped at a food truck parked on the corner bought some Nahos grande, lady said they were over welmed by the amount of business. They were on the main road through town and the resteraunt closes on the weekends, so everyone was stopping there. came home ate about half, now I am enjoying a Brick house cigar watching youtube vids.

Got up early to make breakfast fer 30ish underprivileged kids(pancakes, eggs, bacon) The lodge took them shopping fer winter cloths. We decided to get a bunch of pizzas from a joint down the block fer lunch, there was talk of doing dogs and burgers but pizza won. After lunch kids got to see santa and get a toy. Cleaned up the lodge
Home now and watching college ball enjoying a few brews. I took today off to help with clothe a child.

Edit. A good friend of mine informed me her nephew(her late brothers son) committed suicide. Now shes not responding to my texts/calls. Hope she is coping with it well and around her family.
Edit again. Shes distraught as to be expected but ok

Was supposed to run a swim meet today, so nothing was gonna get done, but then someone showed up and relieved me of duty. Finished setting up my Bambu P1S 3D printer and been printing things all day long. Plugged the scissor lift in so I can hang Christmas lights tomorrow, got some multi color led rope lights, so they aren't coming down ever. Watched some college football and tarped up the cider press after the church kids got done using it. For thinking I wasn't get anything done today, it worked out okay. Now I get to deal with the wife's passive aggressive attitude because I didn't read her mind about replacing the ceiling fan.

Got the wiper juice line repaired
Dropped the new dual post battery in
Got the winch hooked up and it worked
Headed to redding to meet a guy for a new clean hood but had time to kill so i went to pick n pull, i fucking love pnp, scooped a new center jump seat, and it was already unbolted!.
Stopped at a gun shop and they had a sig mcx ranch rifle so i got my grubby hands on it to see if i liked the hand feel of the ar based ranch rifle designs. I do :(

Gona go to ghetto mart and fight hood rats for groceries, then go get my hood.

Spent the day cleaning up outside, washed some cars, swapped the hardtop on the Jeep, power washed the gutters/flashing on the garage, power washed the bucket truck then decided to clean it up a bit. That turned into a full interior clean (first one in the 9 years I have had it)- which turned into getting frustrated and using a brush and hose on the interior. :smokin: Blew it off with the leaf blower good and now I have a fan going in there, hopefully it is old enough (92) that some light rinsing does not hurt anything too bad ha ha Tomorrow is going to be nice out again, so will prob toss up the xmas lights to get it done with before it gets cold, provided the bucket truck works.:lmao: Wife wants to do them and I'd rather do it in 60° weather than 30°, so why not.

Been productive, now to eat something and decide what to do with the night.

Saw nothing in the woods this morning.
Was out of woods around 9.
Have not been feeling 100%
Meds been giving me a headache.
Went to church chicken and bisque dinner.
The congregation is getting old, think I was the youngest there, and I am 60.

Going back out tomorrow morning.

Should've gotten a bunch done on the new garage but worked on everything but it. At least my work season is done, so I need to buckle down and nail some sticks together in the shape of a garage.

Transfered propane from leased 250 tank to newly painted used 500 gallon tank, slow but worked well. Also have the fittings to fill my own forklift tanks as well.

Ran out of fittings for the new propane line, will grab some in town tomorrow. Propane guy called yesterday, so will probably pay to top off the new used tank next week and figure out how to return the overpriced leased tank.

We had friends over last night for the fight. They all left by 12:30 or so and after wrestling with the Mrs after they all left I didn’t get to sleep till about 1:30. :smokin:
Skipped hunting this morning and did a few things around the house/garage. Headed out to the lease to hunt around noon and saw four small bucks and four does.
The Mrs is working tomorrow and I’m hunting so we’ll both be up around 4am. She’s in bed watching her show and the dogs and I are on the couch contemplating watching a movie.

Slept in a little. We chatted with the eldest about her birthday coming up in a couple weeks. She asked if we’d split the cost of one of those floor cleaning robots. We’ve already seen video of it buzzing around her apartment.

After breakfast I went out to “re set” the trailer. The oldest kid and her sister’s cat were roommates last week. I pulled and washed all the bedding, and ran the vacuum around.

Once the trailer was “bug out” ready, I went to town to get a couple propane tanks filled, and take my aluminum cans to the recycling center (53.4 lb of cans = $63.18). I used the can money to buy material to build a “pots & pans drawer “ in one of the cupboards in the trailer.

Mrs went to go visit with a former coworker for a little while (listen to her vent about her life usually, drives Mrs nuts).

I think dinner is a pre made stew from Costco :homer:

Woke up at the butt crack of 10am, ready to go. Sat down and watched a couple YouTubes, somehow took a nap, now down in the garage with some beer and everything I touch is pissing me off.

Installing Linux mint on the new to the garage garage computer, after finally tracking down a USB keyboard so I could get into the BIOS and boot options... Damn thing doesn't have a PS2 port anymore. And all the damned Logitech keyboard are missing their dongles. Of course.

This cold is still kicking my butt but GF hauled me out for the groceries run anyway. We had a snow storm blow in around midnight and I didn't think much about it even though the wind kept me up half the night. I went out to the tractor shed to grab some shovels and I see the wind really did a number on our tree, I hope the snow melts off so I can get out there and get all the fallen branches burned before the real winter hits.

I ain't gonna do squat tonight except cook us up some smash burgers and fries then hit the rack after a real good dose of Nyquil.
