What's new

SNLC

Debating going to the store for dinner for the next couple days. Might just do soup instead :homer:

Got the window motor replaced on the Lincoln, nice to have 2 working windows. Vacuumed out most of a mouse nest from the hvac, hopefully it will smell better :rasta: didn't pull apart the dash fully though, something seems to be going on with the blend door. Isn't moving as much air as it should be.

Found out my neighbor finally bought the tear down house next door, he now wants to buy 1 of my driveways that separates the two :homer: not real interested in selling it and going to an easement for access. Technically, he owns half the width of the alley, I can't limit his access anyways. Not sure if he knows that or not

In,

Woke up this morning and immediately went back to bed for a nap. Started downsizing for the move in 2 weeks. Dad called and wanted help putting the state plow on the tractor. I went up and helped him and casually reminded him he hadn’t paid me for last years snow season .

Back to laundry and cleaning up.

Annual board meeting. Wife was elected treasurer. I was nominated for a spot but quickly squashed that notion pointing out my wife is on the board already.

Took the boys to their karate belt test.

Finally pulled the fucked up box off my dually:homer::lmao:

Now in, having a beer.

In. Deposited 42 $100 bills in ATM at my bank. It shit the bed. Waited till they opened, showed them the error ticket it gave me. They where nice, pretty obvious that this was not first time for them. Picked up grandson, hooked up trailer, loaded excavator, skid steer headed to a food truck we saw with lobster. MF'rs did not take cash "for safety reasons". Well, fuckyouverymuch. Headed to farm, stopped to get gas station chicken. Checked tires, one is flat on truck. Aired it up and said fuck this. Turned back, took tire off, could not find leak. Took it to messican tire place. Showed them where I took a screw out of it but it was not leaking there at 70psi. Got them to plug it anyway. Tomorrow take two.

If anybody has or can find easily a harness connector/pigtail for the hvac/climate control module for a 1989 lincoln mark vii, that'd be neat. The tan one is in falling apart shape and held together, poorly, with a zip tie.

The black one is fine still.

Last option is to pull it apart and see if I can reverse design it and make one on the plastic printer :homer:

In. Woke up around noon after last night's festivities. (The gummies came out...)

Cracked a beer at 3 and been doing stuff ever since

Got the wire terminal into the DD, it broke the 3d printer on the first try so I took the opportunity to make it mo betterer. Now in the backyard hammering beers and racking pine needles.

I always used to just leave them but I've been told it's really, really, really, bad for the grass, and I have a hard enough time keeping it on the hill as is.

On the bright side it's absolutely perfect outside.

Slept in a lil more than I wanted to but still had my grocery shoppin done by 6:30am:grinpimp:
Finished getting a 77/22 back together, after going on an easter egg hunt to find the lil box with the rest of the parts in it. That I put in a safe place:homer:
Just ordered a bunch of ammo, crockpot chicken is about done. Beer is open an one of them 007 movies is on....All in all. Not a bad day

Dealing with this, parked on the side of the road since before 11am.

Also had a level 1 DOT inspection just prior to it, passed that as I make sure truck is well sorted out. Sorta easy $300 I will get for it from the company.

To be seen about my Monday morning delivery appointment. It will have to be extended.

In the South 15 minutes and sweating my balls off
You could have stopped by... I have AC and cold beverages... you could have seen your old bumpers....

In.

Drinking more daiquiris and eating leftovers.

Spent the day doing yard work and working on the trailer. Finished up the winch mount, welded in the tongue box mounts, Built and welding in a mount bracket for the new wiring box/pigtail.

Still gotta get under it and play with the wiring and connections for the new lighting.

Tomorrow supposed to go to a truck show in Uwharrie, may skip it and work on the trailer... we will see.

Listening to planes and engines hitting a fire not far from here. Sadly, it has potential. No homes but a good amount of water and power infrastructure there. Not far from me as the crow flies but terrain will prevent spread my way.

I hope somebody gets some good pics of the C-130 drops. It’s a big bitch.

We slept in a little, then got ready to run errands in town.

I loaded the Engel into Mrs car since we were picking up frozen meals for her coworker who is still dealing with a very sick family member. We will deliver them tomorrow, the forecast says 102 🥵. I may throw in a couple popsicles for us for the trip.

After brunch we headed to Costco, hard pass, the parking lot was a zoo. All we needed from there was rum and tequila anyway so we went to Total Wine instead. Grocery store was easy.

Now we’re parked on the couch. I’m thinking about fixing a batch of margaritas before prepping dinner :blender:

Back when they were still running the 747 bomber, that thing flew over my house a few times going for refills 😳

In and resting for busy day tomorrow.

I'm going to replace one side of the front suspension in my Tacoma tomorrow... still waiting on one lower control arm.

After that gets wrapped up, I'm going to figure out how to mount engine puller in the bed of my S10 so I can lift 'big' logs(12"to18" about 12' long) that I'm going to use as yard 'rails'.

I need to clear space around my well head so I can move the well tank there later this month.

A few small fixes on the Mustang is on the list.

In.

Got the EB sold and it goes to its new owner Tuesday or Wednesday. It needed a battery so I slapped a new one in it this morning. I didn't want to sell it since its been in my family since brand new but life is kind of forcing my hand right now. Adulting sucks! :mad3:
Wife and I took my best friend out to lunch for his birthday and now watching Vanderbilt beat up on Alabama in college football. Dinner and more football is on the evening's agenda.
No big plans for tomorrow.

In. Big plans low production kind of day. Lots of errands, home before noon.

Puttered around in circles, so many little things to cross off the list. :shaking:

Serviced the zero turn, need to do the Kubota.

Really struggling with some chronic pain in both elbows and hands. Guess its arthritis, need to get it sorted.

Beverage three going down the hatch

In. Worked today. Came home, filled out an app for new business insurance. Made a PB&J and watching some Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Calling it an early night.

Hopefully muster some motivation to hang some boards in the barn tomorrow so I can get back to building some rigs.

I've been using ATM's since they first came out in the 80's (IIRC), and not once have I ever had an error, other than a machine once ate my card and I had to go inside the bank the next day to get it back, (they issued me a new one). That's a pretty remarkable piece of machinery. I deposited 5 checks in today in a stack, and it read them all correctly and even gave me a receipt with pictures of each.

Went to the range, and after watching a guy burn a whole box of ammo trying to get his AR sighted, he asked for some help and I got it done with 3 or 4 shots. Dude had the windage cranked all the way to the left and was still hitting way right, uh, you sure you dialed the correct direction?

Got a 25 yard zero on my .22lr AR, and was shooting 1/3rd IPSC targets at 320 yards. With the supressor on it was comical to hear the firing pin hit the cartridge and a little over one second later hear a faint, "ping".
