Fixed my ford jubilee tractor, runs great now.
Brushed hogged and disked field. Will plant some winter cover tomorrow.
Sunflowers are in full bloom.
Bees are all over em.
Had pup finding quail I put for her.
Now enjoying a mark twain riverboat cigar and Utica club beer.

In. Still feel like ass.

Took the youngest to the ranch to take care of her horses this morning. She insisted on going for a ride so I stayed in the truck and tried to sleep.

Got home, made lunch and I'm doing fuck-all for the rest of the day.

Found a fishing game for PC that may keep me entertained while I try to feel better.

Working solo at the property. New tires on the 4Runner about a month ago and the right rear has been leaking the whole time. Found a nail in a tread block.

Fired up the a-salt truck a putted around the block. Runs great. Going to try to use the truck to move the bus that will still own for some reason.

Moved the Katana engine to the shed and bent two of the new casters that I put on my engine hoist. Guess I'll ask my neighbors about using their tractor for the rest.

Attempting to cook a steak

Sitting on the counter now to give it a half hour to warm up.

Found a pan, salt, pepper, spray oil.

Plan is to cook one side, flip it over and toss in a couple jalapeños, some onion, butter and cilantro

Bought bread to go with it and some central texas malbec wine.

Fortunately, I've got low standards and it'll be edible at least.

Drinking beer for now waiting for things to be ready for heat

was planning on brazing up the thrust bearing on a turbocharger I got, had .007" of clearance and needed .001" instead
the 45% silver solder that I've had only ever stick to stainless steel failed me once again
tried silicon bronze with the tig and had even worse results, base metal melting and sputtering before the filler would
shoulda used soft solder instead, dammit

dunno if the shit's worth the $30 bearing kit...

Nice pants!

In sorta. Worked the day job this morning. Ran two deliveries of pallets for my side hustle. Came home and got the zero turn running mostly.

Headed to kids for dinner, drinks, games, grand baby, ended up just kind of stealing the grand baby.

Just got her fed and bathed, enjoying my 2nd beverage, getting ready to put her down for the night, thinking of firing up a John Wick movie and chilling

Went in got my empanadas and a bowl of green chilli pork stew, checked the mail, cigars, chilli rellanos, a subpoena for the Prelimonary hearing on the theft of my vehicles, and other stuff, and notice from the IRS my mom owes $40.00 dollars for 2021 taxes
Went to the grocery store for some bread, and came home

I know exciting!

In,

Boss and his family were supposed to ride back to the farm today, but canceled. So I took the long way to the farm and hit a couple of fire roads on the way. Grandad was playing road construction with his helper. I cut all the trees out of the roads for hunting season. Found some old growth grapes growing in a massive dead pine too. Im waiting on the sun to go down to bump the sunset thread.

Never been one for chewing the fat, but there is an aftermath photo :flipoff2:

$12 for meat
$0.25 for cilantro
$0.25 for bread
$0.75 for peppers
$0.50 for onion
$5.00 for half the wine

Beats the $40 meal i had at a restaurant last night, don't feel bloated after eating it.

Do feel better, still can't look up or right :homer:

Didn't do much today although I did get over to have a lunch visit with my old Mother. It's been cold and raining most of the day so I've been kinda curled up in front of the radiant heater heat soaking my busted up body. GF made beans again and I'll bust out some chicken fried steak to go with 'em for dinner. Ima planning on an early rack time so I'll feel like doing some house cleaning after my morning coffee tomorrow.

In.
I took our daughters to a college football game today. We left at 8:30 this morning and just got home at 7:30. It was a fun day.
Between yesterday and today my watch says I walked 33,143 steps which would be about 15 miles. I’m wore out.
Now I’m relaxing and going to read for a bit then take a shower and go to bed.

Well worth the 2-6 hours of unfucking that comes with not buying the kit :flipoff2:
eh, I was more interested in seeing how long the shitty repair was gonna last than actually fixing the shit
you know?
Fixing things "right" is boring.

Besides, with chinese clearances I'll probably have more than the .007" of axial clearance that I had with the worn out stuff. We'll see in three weeks when it gets here.

In, daughter and I slept in, wife went to work.
Daughter and I went to a late lunch then picked my wife up in merced before going to pick n pull. My daughter wasn't allowed in because you have to be 16 to go to pnp:homer:. My wife and daughter waited in the entrance area.

Got what I needed, most of a 4L80-E wiring harness, luckily the transmission was already pulled so it was eazy to pull out and strip it down.

Only cost me the entrance fee, $3.
