The youngest daughter and I got up early and drove 2 hours to go watch the oldest daughter's boyfriend drag race his truck. Bought some t-shirts while we were at the track and watched about 4 hours of racing. It was really hot and humid so we came home instead of sticking around to watch the top fuel cars at 6pm.
We were able to park in the pit area and walked around awhile checking out all the cars. It was a lot of fun.

Relaxing in the recliner now and online buying deer tags and surfing marketplace for anything interesting.

Early up tomorrow to swap cards in the game cams at the lease and maybe put up a tree stand.
 
Sort of in. Got dragged to my BILs house in Maryland then dragged to a concert of music I don't like but the beers are 6 bucks and the opener was eye candy.

Did yard work. Smoked a steak fer lunch. Wife and kid are gonna run to town fer hobby lobby. I need to nap so i can stay up all night, tomorrow is my monday.
Edit installed scope mount to the muzzy. Gonna let the blue loctite set fer 24 hours befer playing with it again. Got an elk hunt in oct.

Working the house. Buddy's dad that bought my dad's house has been checking with me on what to keep. Sounds like he's making progress on clearing out the place.

Woke up at 0600 for some reason. We ran errands for house stuff. Stopped for gas and snacks on the way to the house. Super cute redhead cop pulled beside us to hand the boys stickers. She could tell our youngest knew she would have stickers :laughing:

Kinda tired, but I need to work on dormers. Rained a bunch today even though the forecast didn't show it until last minute.

Went to town to pick up epanadas, forgot it was the "Sunflower Festival" had fun finding a place to park where I didn't have to walk 6 blocks ( Anybody who has been here will know the down town is only about 4 blocks long) ! Came home spent time adding sidesaddle shell holder and heat shield to the 870.
Thinking about a fishing trip in Sept. called the only motel near the lake $120 a night! Damn I guess I either make it a day trip or I'm buying camping gear, so I have spent the afternoon searching, long gone are the days of me taking a 20x20 plastic tarp seat cushions off the couch and some rope...

GF and I did a Costco / groceries run and not much else. Kinda thinkin' I might put the race on but I doubt it. It's a fend for yourself night so for me it's gonna be a big ol' bowl of GFs beans and some roast chicken all spooned onto saltine crackers, yea it sounds weird but I really enjoy it.:laughing:
 
In, just had some white guy with a lil hispanic influence tacos. already shredded habanero cheddar on them when I found the slab of queso fresco. I’ll probably end up eating that by the end of the night. :homer:


Popped tires today. :usa: Supposedly before I stomped on the loud pedal there was some shit talking, :laughing: I couldn’t hear it.

Got to the shop early and had the tire machine failed, got that fixed up and got some tires patched today. Got to hang out with old friends and meet a new friend at the shop. Got the heep torn down to look at tomorrow. Finished up helping the neighbor install bucket seats and swap the roll cages out in his heep,

On the couch watching a movie 🍿

Been 3 weeks since I got ecoli and still feel like shit and tired all the time.

Worked until 2PM then came home, ate lunch and went to the GFs house to work on her ceiling and her non-heating electric dryer.

My jaw started being uncomfortable on Thursday, felt like a result of 'tight jaw mode' I go into when stress hits.

Instead it turned into a toothache on top of everything else.

Current temp is 99.3

Tomorrow gotta clean the garage so I can prep for the engine swap on the Ranger when the reman shows up.

Hoping it is next weekend (labor day) but I know my luck ain't gonna work out like that.

Searching the web for dryer parts... I am the epitome of excitement.
 
Made squid help move and stack the fire wood pile, took trash, and grabbed a log off the highway.

Rained decently yesterday and till this morning so its nice and cool and over cast now.

I need to grab my saw chains and sharpen them and the 281 hasnt been used much in the last 18mo so i need to pull and clean the carb.
 
didn't do a single thing today. wife is gone til tomorrow, tired from having to tow my tahoe 1000miles after the trans crapped out. so now I'm down to driving my 71 c10 or my 06 duramax, which is loaded down with tools. probably be at least a month before I get a trans built for the tahoe. We'll see how much I get done tomorrow.

Got notification at 3 pm lost power. The irony is I’m the corner house it is affecting me and the next 25 houses across the street from me in the same road the house behind me the one next to me and across from me have power.

Gave up came to mother in law to sleep in add wife has to be at work at 4 am

Went to a kids birthday party on the beach this morning. Stopped and had a really good burger on the way home. That wore our kids out for a while, which means they slept on the drive home. Didn’t do too much else this afternoon. Up tomorrow early for work stuff.
