Got cooked again today while harvesting plots. Pulley came off the combine which killed 1.5 hours going to get a new key and set screw. Haven’t done much since getting home. Planning to go grab supper tonight. Have to be up early for work stuff tomorrow.

Cars and coffee this morning, found a local guy taking 997s awd manual cars and putting 6.2 ls in there. Got to the shop and found the reciever took a crap and worked all day without tunes….

Got home and made smash burgers and going to end tonight with laundry.
 
Sort of in.
Today we spent the day on the lake in a pontoon. Did a little fishing, a little cruising. Stopped at a bar on the lake for lunch. It was only mid 60’s and a little windy but still fun. Our 5yo grandson got pretty restless after noon though.

Now the Mrs and oldest daughter are sitting on the dock fishing. Youngest two are kayaking. Oldest girls boyfriend is napping.

I’m keeping an eye on the fire and enjoying a mixer.

Older daughter, her boyfriend, and the grandson head home in the morning. The youngest two, wife and I are here till Tuesday morning.

Woke up around 9, by the time I got around it was time to go pick up my weekly empanadas, then stopped and picked up a smothered bacon and sausage burrito and came home, ate took a nap...
Yeah I know I lead such an eventful life, most of you could handel it LOL:flipoff2:

Made a supply run to town this morning. I planned on getting a new beverage container, so I googled around to see who had one in store (Hydroflask straw lid 20oz tumbler). Dick’s site said they had them in stock. I haven’t been in Dick’s since they pulled out their gun/hunting section. I get to Dick’s, they have a wall of those stupid trendy Stanley straw lid mugs in every color of the rainbow. The cup I came there for? Nope. I have no reason to visit that store again :shaking:

Mrs is on her way home from the coast. She should be home around dinner time. It sounds like the Chico kid is coming down for the day tomorrow. She probably needs a break from the smoke :barf:

I think I’ll prep dinner, maybe start on a rum&coke :homer:

It was a busy week that went fast - even managed to go get a new set of tires put on the Tahoe.
My apprentice decided he wanted to go work construction and I'm absolutely piled up with work right now so that kind of sucks :mad3:- we're down to just me and my brother in the shop right now.
Did laundry this morning and just kicked back the rest of the day.
Planning on just chilling out the rest of the weekend.

Slowly working on the house. Late start and nearly zero motivation.

Step dad texted us that his brother accidentally killed a motorcyclist when he pulled out in front of him today. Found out minutes later that the rider had stolen the bike and was fleeing the cops. Think that keeps his brother off the hook.

I haven’t seen (or smelled) our stinkers in a while. The nephew saw one towards the front of the property a couple days ago. He said it was headed back our way the last he saw it. I have tried all kinds of things in the trap. I think all I’m doing is feeding some field mice 🤨

I’m getting close to setting up a L shaped ambush 😈

GF dragged me out to do the Costco / groceries run, it ended up taking over 4 hours.:shaking:

Inl aws stopped by for a wine and cheese visit and that's the extent of my day, I dunno why but I am just beat and ready for bed already. GF is grillin' up some chicken quarters and taters while I am workin' on a nice pot of porkchops and beer kraut, It smells pretty good around here I just hope I can keep my eyes open until dinner.:laughing:

Got out for a 3 hour hike this morning, managed to not die in the process. Pretty much straight up the side of a mountain. Not quite what my fat ass was expecting when I agreed to it. :laughing:

Been picking away at little projects around the house and shop all afternoon that have piled up over the last couple months. Not a whole lot of progress, but better than nothing.

New job starts Monday, gonna be nice running iron that isn't completely beat to shit, and having a consistent workload.

Need to go find some beer, somehow managed to run out in both the shop and the house. :homer:

A few minutes ago I noticed Elliot tracking something. We have a wasp in the house :eek:

Mrs is about an hour out, I need to get this thing before she gets home, and before Elliot gets the “spicy sky raisin”.

The last time we went to Harbor Freight Mrs grabbed one of those bug zapper tennis racquet things. It’s been on the kitchen table for a couple weeks. This evening it scored a kill :smokin:

Guess I need to grab one or two of those racquets. Bald-faced hornets have been staring me down again while I'm working on the house.

Was in Atoka, OK earlier - took care of laundry and shower. First Pilot I heard blasting Iron Maiden and some chosen hard rock.

Very clean facilities, certainly versus Anna, TX - heads up.

At Whataburger for a sammich, got some fruit/random stuff from a nearby Walmart.
Soon it is time to pick out something to watch and kick back...
