What's new

In. Worked on the U4 car for KOH prep. Hanging out with the kids. The wife is bringing home a new kitten.

In,

Just finished installing and adjusting some new LED lights on the rig, and gave it an oil change in prep for a Windrock trip this week :grinpimp:

IN. Accomplished exactly nothing today. Surfing the web now looking for clamps or ? to route battery/winch cables.

In. Spent a few hours cleaning up from the snow storm we got, had to blow out a race track around back for the dogs 'cause the snow is deeper then they are tall. GF did her cooking. Meat sauce and meatballs, couple of gallons of cauliflower soup and a bunch of breakfast stuff. It's time now to get into my OG Coors and make some wings, pork bones and fries, maybe a movie or something later.

In, spent the afternoon in urgent care for a COPD flare up. Not a fun feeling when you can't get air in. They prescribed some Prednisone and Albuterol inhaler. I've got to start eating healthier as this fat gut doesn't help...lol
Do we have a "fat ass no more" thread?

In.
Did some more garage organizing/cleaning, after wife and I left and explored around for a bit while we had a nice sunny day (hardly any wind).
Now at home and browsing interwerbz, ordering some car parts for upcoming maintenance on new to me Jeep Liberty - if I keep it I see a mild build for this coming summer season (OME coils/shocks and some other things I will address).

In. Fiddled around the house today, still feel like shit, took some NyQuil and seeing how far I can make it into Waterworld before I fall asleep.

In. Kid puked all over me, so that’s my Saturday evening so far. It rained all day, and I was pretty lazy. Did make stew, but not in the mood to eat now.

In. Passed up a small doe in the same spot as the buck I shot yesterday. Pops has tomorrow morning to fill a tag. The puppy is hunting a mountain lion that's been stalking him in the yard. Little 3 pound kitten is dragging brass balls the size of kiwis around.

In. Screwed around down in the shop for a bit today. Just came up and turned the Huskies game on and see Utah is beating the shit out of them.

In. Just got back from RBD. Left before the rain and huge saturday night crowd spooled up. Was a good time, watching motortrend and going to bed early.

In, got 98% of the floor installed in the bedroom apartment conversion at the folks house. Have to rip some stuff on the table saw. Plan is to finish it tomorrow. Install baseboard, change out all outlets and switches, touch up paint and start to paint the living area.

now drinking a couple beers after a fantastic meal of chicken picata, garlic bread, green beans and finished up with a slice of chocolate mousse pie.:smokin:

In. Got my latest project bike fired off and moving under its own power for the first time and put a couple laps around the back yard on it. Been fighting with getting it to run/idle and blaming the $30 Chikuni carb but apparently I decided to stick a nasty fouled up plug back in it when I finished putting the engine together instead of a brand new one.

I’ve never had good luck with the Ching Chong carbs, at least on smaller motors.

The china carb on my hedge trimmer works mint and the whole "tune up kit" with a bunch of other parts cost a whole $16. I just decided to be a cheap ass since it's a rare-ish bike and OEM carbs cost what an off the shelf universal Mikuni cost but I lost this time around and ended up paying for one of those anyway. It still starts awful but it runs okay-ish once you get it going.

I also overestimated the Chinaman's ability to directly copy a carb, the pilot jet doesn't cross over to any bike carb I've ever worked on or any of the jets I have on hand, it's just a brass tube with a tiny hole in it. Main jet is M5 like a real Mik but a different thread pitch, I was able to ram-rod a legit main jet in it but there was a lot of squeaking and safety squints involved. Air screw also seems to do absolutely nothing, probably because it works in conjuction with the weird pilot jet.

I actually hung out with Camo for most of the afternoon. That was good times.

Came home, fired up the wagoneer and got a Christmas tree with the family. Now drinking Jack at my brothers house.
