Smart lock differential

Finally got around to changing the fluid in my x3 smart lock. A few shavings and a piece of something…..
May run some fluid through it and see if anything else comes out. Diff still pulls good with no odd noises. On a rare occasion it will let one tire slip when in diff loc but i believe thats just the nature of the clutch pack.

send it to sandcraft for a rebuild. and never worry about it again.


guys i run with wont even run a stock replacement until sandcraft has gone thru it.

Well I started to change the fluid in the rear dif and saw this. Still have 5 bolts holding so i guess im ok. I bent a trailing arm, broke the axle and killed an electric steering motor about last September. Im guessing when the trailing arm bent the radius rods tweaked the frame where the bracket bolts to it. I was in one hell of a bind.
Dont know that it can be welded back on. Guess some JB weld and call it good.
