OK, maybe it's not armored or weaponized (yet :flipoff2:), but the Czechs are making a badass all-terrain bus:

The TORSUS PRAETORIAN Takes a Red Dot
Red Dot awards go to excellence in design, and this vehicle has that—and then some

The TORSUS PRAETORIAN won a Red Dot Award in the Product Design 2020 category.

The what?

Well, odds are you’re not familiar with the Czech Republic-based firm, TORSUS, which operates a production facility in Slovakia, nor with the PRAETOTRIAN, which it describes as “the world’s first heavy duty 4x4 off-road bus.”

That’s right: A bus that can handle rugged terrain.

The vehicle was designed in collaboration with Werkemotion, a transportation and industrial design firm based in Bratislava.

The PRAETORIAN is predicated on components from Munich-based MAN Truck & Bus—an upgraded version of its chassis, a 6.9-liter diesel engine, semi-automatic transmission. It features Michelin tires. Body parts are coated with Line-X.

The vehicle has a 165-inch wheelbase and there are 82 inches below the axles.
EDIT: the article dicked up a dimension - TRACK WIDTH = 82", ground clearance under axles = 15.3"

It can carry 35 people plus gear.

Although the 4WD bus is engineered for off-road capability, it is designed for full EU homologation for on and off-road use.

Would not be embarrassed about a 4WD short bus on factory 46x15.50r20s :smokin:

But . . . a double or triple cab cargo truck might be more "practical"

:lmao:

if it has fixed headlights then youre good to have the above:rolleyes:
Even with fixed headlights, you can't run a pistol-grip shifter (it's on the CA DOJ ist of "evil" transmission attributes) :flipoff2:

But does it have the required shift button installed?
:flipoff2:

Note from the "Assault Transmission Law" -
"The shift button must not be designed such that it can remain attached to the transmission while it is operating".

Decoupling the gear stack will require the nose of a bullet-shaped transmission detent or a similarly-shaped "shift button" tool on models not made for use by law enforcement or military personnel. While this may seem unreasonably cumbersome to the private citizen or recreational transmission user, legislator and self-proclaimed automotive component expert Dy-ann Fookstain has declared that the average citizen has no need of a transmission with more than 10 gears nor a quick-change gearset. That technology didn't exist when our Constitution was written - most people at that time used single-speed transmissions, and the Founding Fathers certainly didn't envision these modern "weapons of mass transmission".

Unfortunately, in our violent, transmission-loving culture, high-capacity multi-speed transmissions are often romanticized in Hollywood movies. Vin Diesel has played a movie character that rips through 30 gears in a single acceleration, while using a pistol-grip shifter, with zero consequences for his cowboy-ish actions. This sets a bad example for our children, who, for their safety, must be brainwashed into believing public transportation and ride-sharing are the only acceptable solutions.
