Did you build your 2 piece driveshaft? If so, what did you use for the midship stub and flange? I am am having a hell of a time sourcing the parts for mine.

Kinda. I made my own and then broke it when my mount bracket busted off. Then I had Driveline Tech remake it with thicker tube.

It’s out of a two piece rear Toyota driveshaft. It’s what the carrier bearing rides on. Fits the pillow block perfect.

Thanks, kinda what I figured. I've been looking but cannot find a used 2 piece shaft locally for the life of me. I'll keep at it.

The axle rebuilds look great, btw. Thanks again.

wide open design also sells "driveshaft kits" if you need stuff and things, add your own tube and weld together

Took a bit but got the dog leg extension made for the steer valve. It’s in a nice and comfortable spot and shouldn’t take my mind off driving when using it.

So since I’m here in fab mode I decided to take care of some other smaller issues. This one is all about rear visibility. What’s the point of having rear steer if I can’t see the rear tires?

So I took my trans cooler from here, behind the seats..

And rotated it...

Now the cooler has completely disappeared from my rearward view.

I also threw some money at new seats. I was using a set of PRP high back race seats. Super comfortable and I’m not sure if replacing them is a good idea.

I replaced them with a set of PRP low back seats. Why you ask? Because I can actually turn around now and look behind my rig. Once again, this is all about rearward vision and having rear steer.

So I’ve never really liked the nose of my crawler, it sticks out just enough to hit it before the tires want to climb. So I decided that since I’m in fab mode I’ll give her a nose job.

I moved in the front about 1.75”. That’s about it unless I want to get real crazy with running the winch mount bolts through tube.

I'm thinking that the nose has gone up a bit with the mogs. So it may not hit in the same situation. In any case, it looks fine. Function always looks good.

Id go one step farther and mount the winch feet on the same plane as the stinger bar. you would have to raise the winch for sure, but that would really shorten the nose.

Hey, that’s what I came here to say! :flipoff2:

Roll that thing back 45 degrees and remove everything in front of the stinger.
