Skid plates

Anyone have an opinion about the TT belly skid? I’m trying to weigh saving up for one vs home-making something smaller with what metal I have around. Is the TT skid pretty thick? Does it move around or rattle?

I've got one, no rattles, clears muffler and driveshafts, fits tight and thick roughly 3/16". It's tricky to install and I had to slightly modify it in a few places but once in it's a great piece of kit, very happy with it. It doesn't hang up on anything simply allows the sammi to slide over shit and not worry about parts getting bent or broken.

I ended up pulling the trigger on one and got it today. Looks pretty well made, I’ll see how bad the install goes.

It’s the best skid plate on the market. Couple this with a Mighty Kong and you’re bulletproof .. at least when it come to the t-case mounts and skids!
