I'm not sure... Uncle said they were pretty big. If I have some time today I will go check them out and see if they work and might be worth getting.Looked them up on the google machine. The pic shown almost looks like a tool cutter/grinder. Could one of those be used for sharpening bits and tooling?
Yeah that looks like an older version of what I saw on google but very similar. I dont see why you couldnt.Found an old thread on practical machinist where a guy was converting it into a tool/cutter grinder. Not sure if you can position the work in enough orientations to make it worthwhile, but if the machine is free, might be worth a shot.
New life for an old Sioux valve grinder.
I was very lucky a few weeks ago and a friend at work gave me this old Sioux #621 valve refacer. It runs very smooth other than the drive belts which I have ordered replacements for. My plan was to lightly refurbish and use it to reface the odd engine valve and modify it for a little tool...www.practicalmachinist.com
