What's new

Sick of Amazon shipping lies, or pretty much any retailer anymore.

It's kind of amusing watching the dumb old boomers harp on this guy for being a thief when the bulk of them have done things that are just as if not more slimy they just didn't tell the internet.

It's like watching the meth dealer talk down to the fentanyl dealer.

Amazon said a product shipped, then it was lost. I let it sit avoiding the return because I wanted the item. They never sent it and decided to ‘refund’ me. Interestingly like always they said they had more in stock. So I stopped ordering from Amazon. I’ll make a new account on a company’s website to avoid Amazon. Their convenience isn’t worth it.

There's a huge difference in moral culpability between just being ok with someone else's error in your favor vs actively lying to get something.
:flipoff2:

Well after a couple more orders (1 disappearing completely and the other arriving in my town and sitting with no updates or delivery for a couple of days) I am pretty much done with Amazon. Most of the stuff I get from them is originally from China anyway so I will just order direct from China through bangood or AliExpress. It will take longer to get here but at least it will get here

I will say the delivery confirmation emails w/ a photo can be handy. Amazon drivers have dropped stuff off in 9 different spots (usually only 3-5 spots, weird house / yard layout). On Sunday, my stainless door latches were in none of those places --> pull up email,, --> retrieve from next door neighbor's garage :homer:

FML. someone at intelcom has a thing for torque screwdrivers. First one simply vanished in transit, Amazon refunded. Ordered another and now it has disappeared too!

Its not like they have a manifest of whats in the package, maybe they are hoping its a dildo. But fuck intelicom, makes the worst fed ex driver look good.
A lot of my stuff comes in the manufacturers box, with just a shipping label slapped on it. Like a DeWalt tool, for example. There is no doubting what is inside if it is coming from amazon

Some of us don't live stacked up on one another enough to even have Amazon drivers... all my stuff comes via USPS, which means late and without good tracking information. If it says "delivered" the government delivered it (but not saying to whom or where it was delivered).:homer:

If i get a shipping notification from intelcom theres a 90% chance it doesnt show up. I swear their drivers just steal shit daily and the company allows it

Fuckers are going to start charging me $1.99 an order to deliver to my garage if I don't have everything come on one day:mad3:

Well then, I'm glad your implied superiority of living conditions is working out so well for you :flipoff2:

Oh Amazon, you so funny!

Watched on the security cam as the Purolator driver delivered my expected package.
But wait! What's this? She dropped off 2 packages. Quickly check my Amazon order history  and confirm that there is only 1 on the way.
Oh, a bonus (probably someone else's and misdelivered)
Run home to check and both were shipped same day, from the same place with separate labels and tracking numbers.
Open the first and it is the expected throwing axes and knives
Open the second and it is......a bag of air.
I shit you not, someone at amazon sealed an envelope, did up a Purolator label addressed to me and stuck it on there. Didn't even smell like ass or anything, and the envelope was intact.

Lol- sometimes you don't get the stuff you ordered and sometimes you don't even get the stuff you didn't order.

So they did a bad job of sealing the farts in, it happens 🤷‍♂️

Needed to rebuild a grapple cylinder on my loader. Tore it apart, figured out what I needed and ordered the seals from McMaster.

While I was on the computer I figured I should buy hydraulic cylinder rebuild tools because since I've broke the seal and rebuilt one at home I'll obviously be doing this enough to justify $50 in tools. Being Amazon I order a week in advance so their abortion of Chinese shit, American advertising, and African continent delivery speed should have my order here in time.

Come Friday the promised delivery date I'm geared up to put this cylinder together as soon as my tools get here and at 5pm I get the: just kidding your order won't show until sometime between Monday and Wednesday fuck you notice.

Which leads me to the question: how is Amazon so bad at logistics? Seriously, the only company I deal with that is worse is FLSchmidt and they serve a pretty niche market not the entire fucking world.

Man, it must be different areas but I order a LOT of things from Amazon. From tools, to soap. EVERYTHING gets here on time.

I can't even remember having something show up a day late.

Now if it's coming FedEx..........the opposite. Never had a single package be here on the tracking date. Always at least one day late of that and usually more. Sometimes up to a week late or never shows up at all.

They're great 99x/100. You just live in the middle of fucking nowhere so anything that gets thrice handed off between postal carriers like Amazon packages tend to be is probably gonna show up late as fuck. :flipoff2:

This ^, Sunday ordered an external SSD at 7:00 am and they dropped it of at 5:30 pm same day.

Everyone else can deliver in 5 days or faster I don't see why they can't anymore.

All I have to say is my last 4 ebay purchases got to me USPS very quickly, and I am in BFE with a PO Box. Fuck Amazon. Ebay shipping is usually free too. Knocking on wood now.

Mine doesn't even go that far, have to pick it up at the postal center, a ~40 min round trip.

My mailbox is at the road corner, about 3/4 of a mile from my house.

Here's a twist...
I ordered a coil from scamazon, it failed to work and they said prime didn't count.......So' they said I couldn't exchange it.
I had to ask the seller for a refund.
After dicking with 3rd party vendor for 28ish days :barf: I got a refund.

I ordered 1 from ebay:shaking: This clown took 2 weeks to print a label.
I asked him what tracking # did he give me as it would not work for the normal shipping guys.
Crickets, I asked 3 times. Crickets
Imagine my surprise when Amazon delivered his epay product :stirthepot:

Same. Pretty sure the driver just hates speed bump and drives around with his boxes in the truck for a few extra days just to spite him.
