It finally shipped. Now arriving the 30th. If it shows that is over a week late.

Ordered some pulleys for work yesterday. Arrival date changed during check out. From May 30th to June 5th. I am not even surprised at this point.

I am going to try and stop ordering from Amazon though. This is not right.

Last night wife and I went out to eat, at a restaurant we had been to 3 or 4 times now. We got seated right away. Then we waited, and waited. People come and sit in the booth next to us. They have appetizers already and we haven't seen a server.
Wife says she is going to get a waitress, I said, nope we are leaving.
Getting a waitress gets us food, but leaving is the only way to send a message.

I'm leaning toward theft. I got a report that there was a thief in here so I checked the post. I think it's a fucked up thing you're doing, but it's not directly towards somebody on here so I'll leave you to the IBB wolves.

I didn't read all 7 pages, so hope I'm not repeating anything ... but FWIW...

You're not stealing from Amazon, you're staling from a small biz. Aside from amazon branded goods nothing on their site is made or supplied by them. It's warehoused by them. It's all small businesses paying amazing a fee to warehouse their goods and ship them out for them 24/7. If the company can't afford the warehouse fees, and they still offer a product at a lower price the sale goes through to their internal shipping dept and amazon just takes less of a cut. So your BS may ding amazon a portion of their cut, but it's nothing they notice ... the small business sure does though.

I say stealing from a small biz because all the big ones prevent Amazon from allowing anybody that is not already one of their directly approved vendor (larger business) sell their products on Amazon. Even when they are approved to they are required to list a minimum price set by the manufacture. Smart move on their end and why you see stuff on Amazon for so much more than on their own site. It's typically the price of Amazon's markup which can really add up on big ticket items. Amazon has it's place ... like when you need something tomorrow or have a gift card.

I started dabbling in selling on Amazon with Odyssey batteries and in the first month got fucked by 4 diffrent sales because the purchaser made a claim like it was scratched, not delivered, arrived dead, and because the handle didn't function right :flipoff:. Amazon only cares about what the customer thinks and without question or proof refunded their money and took the payment from my account. Since they were batteries they instructed them to dispose of the 'bad' ones. So I basically gave them all batteries. I was new, and learned the hard way. I gave it time because I thought the appeals process would be worth a damn but they sat pending for nearly 3 weeks (while other sales were happening) and always sided with the buyer, again with no pics or proof needed. I got out of that game and they constantly beg me to put more stuff up now. Fuck that. Did you get an Odyssey battery in the last year OP?

But I quit selling in eBay for the very same reason you described. The customer IS sometimes wrong and crooked but doesn't matter.

What kind of gets me going is how they define "late". I ordered a v belt that was one day shipping and they said would be here today, the 26th. Welp, can't do anything about it until the 29th now. That's 4 times longer than they quoted. Once again, should have gone to tractor supply and paid another $5

I need to whine, not be productive. Besides, if I do that I have to drive .2 miles out of my way after work to return the Amazon belt that inevitably comes. Then I'm out $5 and 10 minutes of my time :flipoff2:.

That and changing the shipping date when I check out is why I won't renew my membership.
 
I haven't used amazon since this thread started.

Yesterday my son ordered a cheapo starter for his lawnmower. He is a prime member.

Was supposed to be delivered today.

He just checked since it didn't show yet.

Now arriving Monday.

That is false advertising. Wish I had time and a lawyer. Start a class action lawsuit.

Amazon reviews have gone down hill too. If you read through them often times the reviews seem to be about the seller more than the product and you will find reviews for products other than what you are wanting to buy.

they changed the TOS you agreed to for prime so that it covers their asses on that.
used to be you got shit in two days.
then it was two day shipping from when it leaves the warehouse.
now it's you'll get it when you get it and 2 days is only for people serviced by amazon directly IIRC.

we'll be canning the membership. was shocked at what the yearly price was the last time it auto renewed.

Since the 6th its been delivered to 3 incorrect depot destinations.
Incredibly, amazon extended the delivery date to 17 Aug :lmao:

Lol. Just had a chat with Amazon, went well and issued my refund on non-delivered goods.
Then I get an email confirming the refund with a note that 'in this case we don't require you to return the original. You are free to keep, donate it dispose of it".

I do realize it is a canned, automated email but just wanted to take the opp to poke fun at amazon.

They lost the kayak, refunded the money, then tried to deliver it after a month of stupid azz notification that the product was "somewhere:...:shaking:
Went to local sporting goods store and found an equivalent for the same money.

Looks like their overreaching their capabilities to delete.
Just got a oem echo coil that wont spark, go to ask for a new one....

You can get it from 3rd party sellers as well, I have a coworker who sells on Amazon and for the east coast to the midwest they do 2-3 day shipping depending on the distance from them to the buyer.

Literally just turn the Prime filter on to see what's available on Prime. Has nothing to do with the seller, there's lots of 3rd party sellers that have Prime shipping availability.

There is a major Amazon hub about 10 minutes away from me. It still takes them 2-10 hours from the time they say its out for delivery for it to show up at my door.
