The axle saw some water and I’m replacing every bearing and the gears. Seams like a waste of money for toy stuff but the rig is built and works well.
Og 30 spline longs and these are the hub gears that were in there when I got it. I wheel this rig and would rather spend another 100 then replace the axles too.

it will certainly be fine, but if you are already in the "might as well spend the money now" state of mind, then go ahead and spend the money. sell those ones for super cheap to some kid just starting out, he'll appreciate them and won't mind if they break in a couple years :flipoff2:

After spending as much as I already have and planning a move, I’ll run em:grinpimp: thanks for the advice, I was already thinking that but wanted to hear what the web wheeler’s thought.

I have another 85 extra cab that I’ve been donating parts too.

That pitting on the surface will weaken them as it will cause stress risers.

Having said that, you might lose 2.5% of their original strength and once you get that close to the limit that amounts to an extra bug on the windshield.

id be more worried about the hub gear then the hub clutch gear, if the hub clutch(your picture is of the clutch hub gear)gear breaks it wont fuck anything up and will still actually work until you unlock the hubs (ive broken 10 of them, not very many people break them as they typically will break the r&p first). if the hub gear is stock when it breaks(it will break before the clutch gear does) it will strip out the stub shaft on the chromo birfs, you should definitely buy chromo hub gears and if you want to while youre at it get the chromo hub clutch gears too

edit; read the rest of the thread theyre already chromo so nm :flipoff2:
