Shop Truck turned Race Truck SORC Tech in Shit-shat

To be honest I was disappointment in the seat/ass feel. Its distracting being so f-ing loud, so rough, etc.

But last night I put some time on the road and I'm feeling a lot better about it. I came up on a semi/trailer on a 65mph highway and passed him. Flicked the lock up off and pulled down to 3rd in anticipation. Hit the signal and pulled down to 2nd while pulling out to pass. It's roughly 4800 in 2nd at 65 and right in the meat of the power. Holy shit it took off. I grabbed 3rd mid pass just above 6k rpm and by the time I was by the tractor it was about to 110. :smokin:

Backed out of it quick like, hit od and lockup then slowed down.

I am going to change up the exhaust after the race. Its just obnoxious. I cannot get on it in town at all. My wife could here me get off the highway from where we live. 3 miles away, cross country. :lmao: Too loud. It is a 3'' y pipe into one 3'' magna flow. little bitty shit, like 10'' across and 16'' long.
But loud pipes save lives. Had to let that trucker know you were there. :smokin:

Dang it

:lmao: Camper special

all the cool kids are using old snowmobile tracks for mud flaps....course reading that sign on the shop wall about "no bicycles, skate boards, roller blades (seriously roller blades wtf?) and no fun" I can see you arent one of the cool kids:flipoff2:

We haven't gotten enough snow in the last 5 years combined to justify anyone having a snowmobile. :flipoff2:

Maybe if you drove them across a lake or put a slick track and little wheels on the front and went to a drag strip. Other than that there are no snowmobiles around here.

They made it mandatory that everyone drive the loup2loup road twice. Gave a bar code to scan at the north end in Purdum at the post office. Finished our first lap and grabbed a burger at a mom and pop dive bar in Halsey. Really good burger, we need more places like this and less mcds.

That l2l road is sketchy!

One of these vehicles is a thoughtfully designed, expertly built and finely tuned race machine, the other is a Corvette :smokin:
:lmao:

2/3 of the cars here are corvettes. And for good reason. They just perform.

But I like to be different. Two years ago a mom walked by as we were staging with 2 little boys. One of them said "look mom, a truck". Made my whole event. Then today pulling in to get stickers, one of the kids putting stickers on asked if i was racing that. I said I sure am, he said "awesome".

Is it fast? Not really. Is it the same old same old corvette? Nope. But it is still fun. :smokin:

L2L didn't go great. I was driving scared north bound. 9 seconds slow. So I set my timer with 10 seconds less than allowed for the return trip. Drive the shit out of it heading south. Crossed the line with 6 or 7 seconds left. Plus the 9, should be 15 or 16 seconds to fast. Dumb ass. :lmao: Has one corner note wrong and locked up the tires, skid a little, let off the brakes and got it pointed back the right direction. And I may have dqd myself on the north lap. For going over tech speed of 110.

Any predictions?

155ish? What did it run in the half mile?
Load that thing up and haul it to Ely for the Silver State. It is a blast as well.

I finally get to run the mile in NV next May. I have been wanting to do that for a long time.

117 in the half mile, naturally aspirated. Blower adding 110 hp and 150ish tq. I'd be content with 150. I have my doubts though. It's still a 4500# barn door.

I'd love to do silver state. Maybe next year.

Truck ran 145.5. Lost power couple hundred feet before the mile. Tossed the belt . I held it in 3rd just north of 6k rpm for half of the mile, guess it was too long. Had a spare tho.

The gtr pictured above ran 209 in a half mile  just freaking nuts
